F100 Crown Vic 460 Viking Build

This thread will replace the previous thread "1977 F100 Single Cab Project"

This is a COMPLETE rebuild of my Grandfather's 1977 Short Bed F100.

Donor Cab

The Hammer Battalion. This is about the time when we decided to do complete teardown. Davewild's thread was inspiration to perform a CV Swap. The 460 from the monster will go in the F100.

Mock up.

Shuffling parts.

Grinding and drilling rivets.

We decided to box the frame with a C section and not weld on the frame itself.

Beefy crossmember.

This allowed us to use the factory radius arm bushing. I never took a picture of the bracket that is bolted to the frame. I will soon.

Metal parts ready for media blasting.

Finished C section.

Epoxy primer

Herculiner

All bare metal was epoxy primer and single stage urethane.

Radius / Control Arm bracket. This allowed us to use the stock style bushings.

Another angle before paint.

Great build so far! Looking really good! If it was me, I'd be halfway tempted to drop in a modular V8.

No. Someone posted it a while back. Love the color of my truck and you don't see it too often.

Found some 1978 Bronco Low Back seats. Will modify the brackets, reupholster, and use in the F100.
