My neighbors get a full musical compliment from the 1500's up to modern music. I'm used to the rule that your amp is 60% of what your speakers are, 1000 watts of speaker gets fed by 600 watts of amp, I've got 900 watts of amp and am still building my speaker collection, have the bass end and most of the mid range put together, have some of the top end and tweeter system done. I'm not running a compressed mp3 input, still sticking with cd's for now, but if technology evolves and a complete set of notes can be compressed without discarding the inconvenient notes, then I'll go with that. I want to be able to near every single note, tone, finger slide, symbol..........
I decided to use as much of the power pack box as possible... the chopping commenced with ardent ferver.
Excised the control panel, power ports, and fabbed up a face plate. The power ports were epoxied to the plate since the body was part of the molded case.
Fabbed up the front face and cut out the holes.. The large blank area is for the battery whose battery box will be screwed in on the inside... Yeah, I'm gonna use the lower half of the original case.
The looks nicer than my old Sears store boom box (that I walked in the catalog store and ordered, yea just aged myself) and it was a cassette AND 8 track player all in one.

Bam!
Vinyl records are coming back. I have hope for 8 tracks.
I got a good one for all of you, my engine sounded like it had every nock know to man going on inside, my dad and i thought timing chain so we pulled the chain and replaced it but the noise pursued, we checked everything couldnt find the problem, so i got a wild hair up a$$ and thought maybe the tourque converter bolts had backed off they had causing it to rock... moral of the story tighten your bolts to proper spec and double check them.
So this afternoon I loaded up some of my old school 15x38.5x16.5 Ground Hawgs (yes Ground Hawgs that have only made 3 mud pit passes) that are still in great condition. Knee deep with tread.
Along with some H1 8 bolt bead locks to trade for some 16x38.5x15 Super Swamper TSL's with 50 miles on them, for one of the Bronco's....Now it is time to dust off the Allied rock-a-thons!
The red EB one has 35" boggers on it now and I hope the 38.5's fit with some stuffing room left over, or it is more fender trimming time. TBA
Sorry I know it's been discussed, but I'm on my phone and can't search very well on mobile. Highboys can fit 35-37s stock correct? I've also been told not to put anything larger than 35s on stock axles; good advice? I'm looking to replace some pretty crappy tires so hopefully I can find a cheap set off Craiglist. I'll probably be going for 35s anyway just wanted to make sure I received good info.
Back on my gantry build, tomorrow is the start of the last phase of this monster. 2 braces to make & install, hook up the track cables and start on the beam and leg joints, end is in sight, no more binoculars needed to see it LOL.
