The beauty and geographical diversity of this country never ceases to amaze me.
I hope some day to join the 5th wheel ranks and see more of it. They are just so damn expensive though.
I paid $4500 for a 30' Keystone 5th wheel in 2012. It went FL to the Canadian border 3 times and many places in between over the 10 years we owned it. Granted, it wasn't the fanciest, but it kept us warm in winter, cool in summer and dry all year. Sold it in Oct for $7500. Stay off the dealer's lots and watch Facebook marketplace and Craigslist if you want to save some money.
I've toured quite a few 2022 models and the workmanship is definitely disappointing. Gaps, trim literally falling off the walls and ceiling, uneven drawers and cabinet doors, etc. I think if I wait long enough, the deals will be there. I'd like to get one for this upcoming season, but it isn't necessary. There is more of an urgency to get a truck first since I don't have a vehicle to drive at the moment. I don't have covered storage for storing a 5th wheel yet (the pole barn might be later this year), so all the more reason to wait.

We didn’t buy last year for the same reasons. Sky high prices and **** poor quality. We will see what happens this year.
We just started living fulltime in the RV back in Sep and are loving it so far. The '450 is a beast and is by far the nicest vehicle I've owned. I've only towed bumper pull before so wasn't sure what to expect, but this combo is effortless to drive. Very, very stable and with cruise control has no problem keeping speed 95% of the time. It is much less stressfull than the other trailers I've pulled with a half ton.

Very nice setup indeed. We have a 2020 Beacon and have really enjoyed it. This is the first Ambition I've seen out in the wild.

Did that RV come with the Gen Y, or did you add it? If you added it, how does it compare to the 5th wheel hitch set up you had?
Thinking about getting one for my Momentum. I hear everyone saying it takes about 1000 miles to break in...??
