2022 Shasta Pheonix 355fbx - what an awesome floorplan for my large family. front bunkhouse (4 bunks) with their own bathroom, rear master bedroom with master bath. Relatively light - 11,300lbs empty, 14,500 gvwr. 43' long. Tows great with the 250 and the DRW. Reese goosebox.
Congrats, it look nice, so was with your srw were you over your limited, oh yeah I guess now it was a F250 never mind nice setup..

Yeah, with the 250, I'm just over. Payload of the 250 is 2200lbs, and the camper pin weight is 2000lbs empty, and 2300lbs when I'm loaded. But, my 250 has the 10k gvwr. I'm not over my axle or tire/wheel ratings so I'm not concerned. But boy that 350 DRW tows it like a dream! The only time the 250 tows it is if the 5th wheel and the horse trailer have to go - then the wife gets the 350 DRW with the horse trailer (much much more pin weight!) and I get the 250 with the 5er!

Lol, yes I bet that it was like night and day on the towing, I bet you couldn't hardly tell that it was back there, I love it, I had a 250 and man towing my 5th wheel it did it but I was comfortable, awesome sir and enjoy.
We towed to the SC Atlantic beach today. By far the best spot in the park with trees surrounding the spot and the beach 100 yards behind me from where the picture was taken.
Well we left Port Aransas on April 1st and arrived home on April 8th, taking our sweet time coming home. Port A to Kerrvile. Then to Lubbock for 3 days (our friends we winter with on the coast live there) Then CO Springs. We had to detour West in Colorado Springs to Grand Junction CO due to 34" of snowfall at our next evening destination in Sheridan WY. From GJ we went to Tremonton UT and then the final push home to Flathead Lake.
My log book on the Solitude showed that it turned 12,000 miles while in Port A so we had Freedom RV, an excellent company and basically the only one anyone uses down there, come out and do our wheel bearings for the cost of $340. Worth it to me as I'm 63 now and not wild about doing my own dirty work like that.
Uneventful return home, thank you Lord for another safe journey as this 4th season over. Reflecting, we always look forward to heading south for the winter, and we always look forward to coming home to God's country.
Yesterday I washed the RV and she's put away for the summer. We use our Lance 1062 for local trips.
I also got the boat out of storage and we will be doing our first fishing adventure of 2023 (lake trout) on Wife's birthday this Saturday.
