Not saying any other manufacturer would be any different, but in this case it was shown/proven.
He also posted it here as golfmedic.

If you read the entire post you will see that it took a while and several attempts by the dealer then Keystone but he persisted and so far, so good.

Every brand has a problem and every brand has a major tale of woe but you hear about Montana's as they are #1 for sales for towables.

There are several threads here about quality problems - and not just those built by Thor/Keystone

What, you quote one owner with a problem? Out of thousands of Montana owners?.Find some easily accessible legitimate facts over the brand fleet vs other non Thor/Keystone brands then maybe you can post something worth discussing.

I met Monty as well about 3 miles from my house when he was camping with his troubled Montana trailer. We had a few beers and a few laughs.

**** happens. Some people get burned and some people have great experiences. Some people don't buy Ford products because they were wronged or bought a lemon... Anything made by humans can have a fault to it, and will break if given enough time. Does that make the troubles that Monty had right, no it does not.

First world problems here people, just keep your eye on the ball and do what makes you and your family happy.

We bought a used 2011 Montana High Country and could not be happier. I also bought a 2000 F-250 7.3 with a ZF6 manual transmission with 224,000 miles on it and we could not be happier. I drive a POS Mercury Sable with 250,000 miles on it it... could not be happier.

It comes down to this, do what makes you and your family happy, live and let live.

Dave, the problem now has gone on for more than two years now and the similar rigs are having the same problem. They have NOT been addressed by Montana. I've talked with over 20 with the same problems. There is a TSB of sorts out now assisting the dealers who want to try and tackle the situation, but most defer to the factory. Just today my partner and her husband drove over two hours away for look at a 2017 latter half year Montana and the first thing we noticed when we got there, sidewall separation. It is a design flaw that they haven't changed. Another problem is, if you read the entire debacle, is that they take up to six months to acknowledge and repair the problem. There are several that the sidewall has even broken under the slide. Much worse than mine did. However, they will tell you straight up they are not afraid of a lawsuit and will fix it when they get a chance. You have an $80k camper that you can't use as if you damage it more than when the claim was first made, that's on you. They are building 22 a day and could care less how many of them come back. Apparently, there are those that this has happened to and those it hasn't happened to YET.
They may have one of the best rigs on the market as far as sales, but even when the dealer is your best proponent, you are just a number to them. I had no problem with FR as they owned up to the mistake they made right away and replaced both axles with the proper weight rated ones. They also allow dealers to repair your complaints by getting the parts where ever they are available, repair the unit, then bill FR.
Many more over on the Montana groups on Facebook, the owner's forums and the other forums have had a eerily similar experience. I hope yours is different.

So true. We have a 95 coachmen catalina that's only 24 feet. I pull it with a 94 crew cab idit. I have to work on the camper every time we take it out. 6 of us in that thing, but we are happy to go!

If we were to need another rig, it would be the Grand Design with the same floor plan as the Montana I have now. Most people do not realize that the brothers who started Montana and built it to #1 and then were bought out by Keystone, are the founders of Grand Design. And it shows. The Montana may be number one, but they'd better take notice as GD is making waves..

We also owned the same trailer as golfmedik but a 2015 model. Our trailer had been towed 15,000kms (9300 miles) We had numerous problems with our trailer which our dealer helped us out with (a good Dealer). The back wall came loose all along the bottom and 4 feet up the curbside wall and 2 feet up the street side wall. Keystone would not warranty this. We paid our dealer to repair this and they had said there was only one screw every 2 feet holding the back wall on and that the screws only were catching the framework by 1/4 of an inch. Then a week later we noticed the same sidewall separation that golfmedik had. We got rid of that pos.

By the way, this one was just repaired and taken to Florida after it was picked up. This is what they found when they put the slide out when they got there. And this is NOT the same model as mine. It is a 2016 3711FL model.
