My 1st 6.7PSD was a 2011 F-350 SRW. Towed a 2010 Raptor 42ft 18K lbs all over the Rockies in Montana....ID and WY and the Cascades in Oregon.
Then a 2015 F-350 DRW..... Trip to Alaska and back...... New England and back....... Towed in blizzards, and Desert heat in Nevada.....
Still have this one.... 67K miles and going strong. Fantastic truck.
Thanks for the info Roy. Im getting closer and closer by the second. Test drove one the other day. Night and day compared to my old dog.
Hello Everyone,
New 2017 F350 bought in October, and Trailer in November. Now its turned cold, and its just sitting in the driveway waiting for Spring! at "0degrees" it seems like a long way away.
Great truck n trailer Casey,
maybe place a block of wood (2x6) under the front landing gear ....
it spreads out the load & stops the legs from rust spots on the 'crete
Drove from Oregon to Minnesota to buy this bad boy. 2017 Vengeance 320A Toy Hauler. I love my 2000 F350 that I bought back in 2004. Would like to upgrade to the 6.7 but am very conflicted! Help!!!!
Go for it, I traded up my 07 F350 SRW with bulletproofed 6.0L for a 15 DRW with the 6.7L. We currently tow a 14 Montana 3625RE (15800 pounds wet). The difference in towing platforms was simply amazing. Let alone moving to a dually, the 6.7L engine and 6R140 trans combo easily pulls our current rig. We have about 14K miles on the 5th wheel, easily 11K of those behind the new truck. We are at 68000 on the truck now and will be putting many more on as we transition to full timers.
We plan to trade up our Montana for a DRV Mobile Suites 44 Nashville, they are heavy at 24000 GVW, but with three axles and disc brakes, we are confident in this trucks ability to pull it. The 2015 Dually 5th wheel max is 26500 and 31200 gooseneck. Commercial license is required, but already have one so no issues.
Happy motoring whether you trade up or not, you've got a beautiful rig.

Thanks for the input Mark. Im gonna end up doing it. My Hauler weighs 16k loaded. I just feel like the newer trucks will do a better job. You have confirmed that. Do you have the exhaust brake on your truck? How does it work? No to little brakes needed going down a 6-8% grade? Take care be safe out there. Springs right around the corner. Doug

Hi Doug,
Our truck has a user selectable engine brake, which in conjunction with the tow/haul braking provides for way less use of service brakes on the grades. We go over Tehachapi on CA Highway 58 all the time, to get to I40 or south to I10. With the tow/haul engaged, engine brake on, and manually selecting 4th or 5th gear I can make it nearly all the way without using service brakes unless I have to slow for traffic. It works exceptionally well.
I will say this, when it shifts itself down a gear it sometimes feels like it may be over revving, 3300 plus rpm, however looking at the owners manual and speaking with the Ford certified diesel tech where we bought this (our 9th truck from same dealer), it does no harm. It just seems a bit high for me, although I'm used to 15 Liter diesels in commercial rigs that you don't spin past 2100.
We are not letting winter slow us down, we are leaving for Palm Desert this coming week, then Port Aransas Texas in mid February.
Here's the new rig, need to do some more mods and wrap it.
Pretty basic, 99 F450 7.3 with only 150k farm truck life. I did the top lights, mirrors, front end conversion, Harley headlights, and Full LED conversion,... Deleted the head unit type stereo. Uses a Bluetooth amp to make it a 9,800 pounds bluetooth speaker with kicker components... 14 plys and airbags that's about it.....
Plans to wrap it, make a over roof solar panel, and shorten the bed to semi truck style. Before...

Great looking combo! Most of us go through the same feeling you are as we wait. One thing we do every year that seems to help us get through it, is go spend a day at a nearby RV show. We’re hitting the Cleveland show tomorrow. It gives us a little “fix” until things thaw out and we can hit the road again.
I feel your pain. Bought a F350 SRW 6.7L in November to tow the new 5th wheel. After we got it home and packed for a trip the weather got real crappy. We still managed a short trip in early December but came back home as fast as we could. We didn't like the -9 overnights at the camp ground. The 5ver has been sitting since we got back waiting for Spring.
