I was considering one of the FITech units but up here it's about $2,000 for the system, carburetor was only $500 plus the manifold which I would need either way. The nickle jar isn't full enough yet...

Yes it doesn't take long to add up , a friend of mine ordered a sbc 383 stroker from summit and paid around $ 5,000 I told him that sounded like a lot more that he could build it for . I being much smarter, frugally ebayed-kijjied-traded-and bartered for all of the parts needed and assembled all but the bottom end . P.S as it turns out $5,000 was a great deal .

I've got a jar full of pennies that you can have John, would be good traction weight if you can't throw them at anything

Don't have my refund yet but yes there was a couple things bad in the other one . Just waiting for the dust to settle on that one. Hope to have this one in and tested before winter sets in..I have to drop my fuel tank too because the sending unit is not giving me the right ohm readings so not sure if it's hanging up or just a bad unit..

John, I hope your luck gets better soon! They should pay for your labor to change the AOD out. But, I know that you just love the work
