Our under $2k budge friendly '94 2WD gasser, the day we brought her home this July. In the past few months the topper is gone, a bit of window tint, and she has had her first wax job I am guessing in 15 years. Winter project is to figure out an annoying electrical issue causing some jerking and surging with tranny, but a jerky tranny has not stopped this beast from pulling our camper all over the state this summer.
My girl Rosie. 1989 F350 CCLB DRW, 460, C6, 4.10 rear. Mostly stock for now. Ice cold ac, power windows, locks, cruise control, and tilt wheel. Everything you could need, who said you need a new truck to be comfortable? The rear seat also folds down into a bed.
Your jerky tranny could be a result of old fluid or engine miss (requiring tune up). Doesn't have to be electrical, but could also be a bad sensor.

Yea, old fluid could easily be the answer, when talking to the previous owner I don't think much maintenance was done. I am fairly certain its an easy and cheap external fix. This thing should running in top form come next spring and cant wait to let this old girl do what she was intended to do. First time for a CCLB and wow does that wheel base make a difference I could pull the wheels off the trailer if I don't watch it as 65 seems to always be a bit slow.
Like he said, it is definitely aftermarket. I'm just not sure whether it is a Western Hauler or Centurion, as there is no signage for either. And I've owned a Centurion Flareside before, that had all the signage.
Here's my recent acquisition, a '92 F350 Longbed CrewCab, at work.
Bonus, my slightly! older '64 F100 CrewCab my dad bought in '65 and I learned to drive in.
The '92 dually at work.
The '64 looking as clean as it can be with a 40 year old Earl Scheib paint job.
