purchased a 1997 F350 crewcab 4x4 in rough shape but it had most of what I was looking for and I drove it 2 hrs home with the shops dealer plate. 320,000km , 7.3 E4OD , pretty sure its 3.55s as it only ran around 1500rpm at 90km/55mph . bought it from an estate, seller (executor of brother's estate) told me the front axle was all rebuilt in fall 2016, and truck has bene parked since feb 2017. driving it home I was surprised how tight it felt so I believe him. has leaks that need to be fixed. needs body work.... bed/fenders and cab corners . I will be shortening to a shortbed ove rthe summer and using soem southenr panels I have that are rust free but not dent free.
I'll be gettign pics up soon, have it stashed at work because I have too many vehicles at home. hopefully ready for first snow, last winter was a wimpy one so this year will probably be a killer.
somebody tried to break into it at work and wrecked both lock cylinders and damaged the passengers door trying to pry their way in. luckily the PO had installed some safeties on the vent windows and they couldn't pop them. I haven't transfered or insured it yet so it would have bene a complete loss if stolen.
its black w/barely visible silver lower accent and grey 40/20/40 front seat. xlt model. aroudn here a nice clean one of these woudl be in the $7-10000 range, this one is rough in and out but runs good and goes down the road straight. got it for $1200 as is where is.
We've been looking for a truck that fits our whole family for a while... Three car seats in back and my wife and eldest in front. Then this one showed up, and we jumped on it. I've always loved the OBS trucks, and unlike the "modern" trucks these days, we actually have room between each of the car seats so you can actually buckle the d@mn things in.
This is an old fire truck from the local county (you can see the florescent yellow/green peeking through door cracks etc). Low miles and a pretty straight body.
351W. A previous owner swapped in a ZF5. Has a few things that will need some attention in the coming months, but it's very solid.
Here's a couple pics from about two weeks ago. I've got the new 460 in and i'm just finishing up the wiring. Everthing is painted polished and cleaned up. I've been hitting it pretty hard and I haven't taken any fresh pics. Once all the wiring is in and looking good I'll takes some pics. It's almost time to start her up. Very excited. I had the e4od rebuilt too.

I dont know why you think "Modern" trucks are smaller, their cabs are actually quite larger than the truck you just bought
1990 F350 8” lift on 35’s 7.3l idi, ARB air lockers 3” straight pipe will be getting a stack up grade here in a couple of months along with a MOVE winch bumper an 12,000lb winch
Started on my L.E.D. retro fit. Thanks to Evan P I've looked at your cluster and it looks awesome I tried removing the green on my heater controls first and kind of botched it so I went with blue leds for the dash and gages and white lights for the cab interior. It cost me more in shipping than it did for the damn light bulbs pretty pleased so far. So next on the agenda is bulbs for the running lights tail brake and can lights with clear lenses.
What was involved with the second row light addition?
