We got between 8-10 inches here. I didn't think we'd get that much. I thought it was supposed to be more down South. I stayed home from work. We TRIED to take the kids' new RZR and my old Ranger up on the mountain. The RZR made it up the big hill with new tires. The bald tires on my Ranger just couldn't get up the hill, and I tried very hard. For those of you who've been to my house, we've been snow sledding down that huge hill beside my driveway. I went and got a big truck inner tube. Gonna have some real fun after lunch.
Our snow is melting fast . Sun is out and strong . I plowed the county road out to the state road , and it is clear and wet . To bad the state road has not been plowed and has 4 inches of slush . The people farther down my road can't understand why the county only plows to my house . I tell them they don't pay their snow tax. It fires them right up . I sure would like to hear the phone call when they call the county to complain .
The one TV weatherman out of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre said our county would get a trace to 2 inches. It is 1:20pm and we already have 3.5" and it is going to snow all day. Acu-weather predicted 3-7" which I think is a bit more accurate. We will see. We are too far west in Central PA to get the huge amounts from this storm or any storm that comes up the coast.
We got about 1 foot so far supposed to get 2-4" inches more tonight. At least we still have power last week we lost power for 3 days due to a ice storm. I'll be so glad when this winter is over.
im working in connecticut for a couple weeks, but im from louisiana. we had a little bit of snow this year but being here makes it look like nothing it snowed a foot today! not used to this kind of cold. im ready to go home!
Back in the late "70's when I first came to SouthEast Alaska we could get 12
feet of snow at sea level. Now we get hardly any.
Well right now we got close to a foot at sea level but this is not common for us.
And yous guys are getting hammered down there. What the heck has happened?
Yep, That's what I am thinkin. But I can't get much farther north and still
stay cool. That Southern heat is very hard for me to handle. Although one can
only take just so much rain. Cold and snow I can do. Hot and wet, not so much.

I heard Joe B astardi last night on TV. He used to be on Accu Weather. He said we had this type of winter weather in the 70's... relatively warm in southern Alaska and cold in the Northeast US. Weather is cyclical.
We got around a foot. Its up to my knees in the woods though with all the snow we've gotten recently. I tried to get my plow hooked up yesterday for the first time in a few years because i wasnt sure if i was gonna have school on friday and figured i could plow my way out if i had to. Well i didnt get it working yesterday and school got canceled friday already but i just had to get the plow working. What it chore it was to get it hooked up. Its the first time trying to get it hooked up since i put a leveling kit on the truck. I had to wrestle the plow up 4 or 5 inches. It sure does the driveway faster than the tractor, but i really needs a few things to work better like new tires, a ls rear end, and some weight in the bed. Theyre calling for another few inches tonight yet.
If the snow keeps coming down here a damn plow won't work very well.
It's just gonna fall right back in the tracks. What I think we need is an old
Sno-Go.
Ain't it about time for an all sno-go pic thread guys? Mostly Ford for sure though.
