Anyone else heard of the fake snow like Styrofoam stuff that burns falling in Colorado
and the mid west? I saw it on face book but a bug in my system won't let me link
to it here.

Back in the early 70's I used to race motorcycles on the ice . We ran studded tires or unstuded depending what class you ran . I always had better luck in the unstudded class . Got a few trophy's in the garage . So you can drive on ice , It's just real hard .

Yeah, the mental ward is Northeastern MN, way up.

And I'd take snow over ice/sleet any day of the week
I know what you mean Havi. This picture was from Christmas 2012. We have had record snowfalls this year but nothing like what you are showing.

It just stopped snowing. Guess I have to go out and plow.

Rain here this morning on top of 3" of snow from yesterday. Temps will drop which will of course freeze this mornings precip and we'll possibly have five more inches of snow this afternoon and tonight. Not the worst weather in North America by far but enough for me to complain about! I might have to get out to the farm today and fire up the heater.

GA's Governor Deal told me that he'll send the entire GDOT snow removal fleet right away. The truck should get there in about 10 hours.

I saw about 20 drops of rain yesterday... first in 2 months. Fire season is nearly all year now.

Yes, we hosted our local KlassicHauler's Christmas party. I thought that it was appropriate. Since then I built a heated garage. See top avatar picture. My progress has been negative though as now I can dig into problems deeper.

Maw would get up early on those extra cold mornings a bake some taters for us kids, she knew the hot taters would keep our hands warm on the long walk to school and then we could eat it for lunch, what a smart and lovin woman!
