Any chance it would be Chandler Riggs, who plays Carl? He would be the only one of the main characters around that age.
I'm not sure(since I've never watched the show and I try not to get up into my students business). I can see what I can find out whenever school is back in session (we're off next week for February Break. We started school at the end of July, and yes, I love the schedule). I'm thinking we'll be out tomorrow and Friday is pretty iffy.
The weather guessers have everyone in a panic here. Schools have been closed since yesterday, Gov has declared a state of emergency since yesterday, AG has declared emergency anti price gouging laws in effect.
It's a little cold 26* and heavily overcast out there, but hasn't been a flake in the air yet. Now they say it won't reach us until this afternoon, and it "might" be snow, sleet or rain, they aren't sure??? (are they ever?)
Oh well, better go make some breakfast before I get trapped in my bed by the snow all afternoon!
Our's started late yesterday in south AR. Been a mixture of freezing rain, sleet and snow changing back and forth between, problem is the rain turns all of the snow and sleet to solid ice We're not used to seeing all of this, so I'm about ready for spring to arrive.
I think it is headed your way. Down here in Charlotte and an hour ago it wasn't doing anything. Street is covered now and stuff is sticking as opposed to yesterday where we got the big flakes but nothing stuck to the road. Looks like it is coming in from the South and headed in your direction. Seems to be a lot of moisture behind the system so if it stays cold this could go on for a while today. They had already called off school today and at 8:30 this morning they appeared to have egg on their face. Now they look like geniuses. If this continues anytime at all, I doubt we will see school buses tomorrow either. You might not get it but I'm sure your local Harris Teeter is already out of bread and milk.

Supposed to get another foot or so of snow tonight, hopefully less. Just shoveled my porch roofs so there isnt two feet of snow on them. This is the worst it has been in many years.
We have had a hard dry freeze going on for about a month. Now in the last
couple of days we have like 5 inches of snow. And now they are calling for rain.
This could get very interesting even for us north folks. I plan to stay home.
Write this down for posterity guys. Weather guessers said it would start here (W of Martinsville) by 1PM. And sure enough, the were right. Makes me wonder about the 8-15" predicted.
This is gonna be a funny storm. And the weather channel has apparently started naming them--they're calling this one "Pax". Whatever. They're saying that you guys down in Tennessee are gonna get hammered, and Kentucky is gonna be spared mostly, except for the "border" counties between Virginia and Kentucky. And, yep, I live in a border county. Here we go again.
Yep, started snowing here about 3 hrs ago, so I took a nap and woke to this ...
We don't get the Weather Channel anymore on our DirecTV selection. No loss though. They have more dramatic shows, like Coast Guard and Storms, than the do the weather! Anyhow, Pax is Latin for Peace. Makes no sense. The Weather Channel names them to get more viewership...
I've got the weather channel here on Dish, but rarely watch it because of the boring shows. With that said, I do use their website as I believe that they really are the most reliable (of all the unreliable weather sources). BTW the weather channel does not name the storms, the National Weather Service does.
Started snowing here (finally) sometime around 1 this afternoon. Just let my dog out and it has stopped snowing. We have about 4 inches of soft sugary snow over everything. My dog is about 15# 10" high at the shoulder, she ran outside when i opened the door as usual then came to a screeching halt at the edge of the covered deck, turned around and gave me a WTF look! She then hesitantly went out about 5' into the back yard in the snow, quickly squatted down and did her business and came running back to the door. Usually she will spend a while sniffing and checking her complete domain before and after taking care of her necessities before she is finally ready to come back in.
Hey, Racer. Weather channel showed pics of Raleigh traffic at a standstill. Hope my daughter and family are ok (she's near Clayton).
Earlier a TV station was saying that the Duke - NC game was still on . But, ticket hokders were advised to stay home.
