with the remote start does it let the glow plugs and all that stuff warm up first. or just start it?

My block heater cord was zip tied behind the amber lite in the bumper passenger side ,the heater just keeps the oil, coolent and trans fluids nice and toasty the glo plugs will still come on but the dash lite wont stay on that long, If you have cold start may be a Injector try switching oil most run a 5w 40 Rotella or delo synthetic this will help, I ran a revX oil treatment in mine and it helped the stiction of the Injector. the scan Gauge II is a nice tool to watch live Data , Its a must, you need to look at the ICP ICPV,FICM, Batteries, ETC to determine good health, Take a Stroll through the Tech folders and 6.0 Bible and read up on where all these parts are , BTW your Turbo probably a Garret is the big housing on the top back of your Engine that the 3'' pipes are clamped to. happy reading

Correct that's the ICP, on the passenger side rocker cover there is a sticker that has a build date, you may have a late build 04

It could be I don't have the Numbers infront of me, verify the build date on the valve cover, what makes you think the ICP ?need to monitor data to save you a lot of money, could be something else, just saying.

I got a check engine light and i looked at a ODBII Scanner and it read a code and it said - icp sensor then it said circuit low so i think that is the reason my truck is stuttering.

What was the code? If ICPV volts it could be the pig tail to the senser, this is why we use these Gauges to monitor and process the other parts out. Is the truck stall and surge throttling high?

I am oing to purchase a Scan Gauge ASAP.

Code- P2285

Reading- Injector Control Pressure Sensor Circuit Low

Icp Right?

The truck hasnt Stalled yet but it surges while idling or while driving, it doesnt throttle it way high but it goes up a little, You can surely tell the rev, then down again, and its weird. sometimes it doesnt even do it! Its all real confusing

Then will the check engine go out? or do i have to clear the code?

Will it store that code or clear it?

The Scan Gauge just hooks up to the odb port correct? where do you hide the wire? mount it, And how do i program it to " WHAT I Need to see?"

Or is it stock like that?

When i Buy it what should i be looking for when i look at it?

I didn't think I had one either until I found a cord laying where I usually park... I looked everywhere for where it came from... It is plugged into motor on passenger side near cab below exhaust. I chased the broken section and found it was broke/cut before so I was never able to find the male end which had me thinking I never had one initially.

moral of the story you might have one check the motor and in my case splice more cordage in.
