Cannot locate ICP Sensor ?

I have searched the threads, but cannot located the ICP Sensor on my 2004 f250 superduty.

Any ideas? can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

H/P = high pressure oil pump cover, located under the turbo.

Passenger valve cover = exactly that, the valve cover on the passenger side.

If you don't know what a valve cover is, why are you looking for the ICP sensor?

Just asking questions. isn't that what the forum is for ?

I would consider that a Fender Well Cover, but that is my opinion.

If you want to mock me please don't respond, I am here asking questions like anyone else.

The valve covers being referred to are the steel covers over the valve train - they run parallel to the valley of the engine.

An 04 could have it in either location.

Here is the location for an early 04:

Here is a pic of the sensor.

As an FYI - the 6.0L bible is a great resource to go over thoroughly - it will give you tons of info.

If it is a late 04, you don't take the wheel liner out, just look below the hot side (metal) CAC (Charge Air Cooler) tube. You can also locate it by looking under the alternator and then over a bit (towards the firewall) - on the passenger side valve cover. As in the pic above it is close to the glow plug control module (GPCM).

If it is under the turbo, then you need to read the threads in the Tech folder on removing it (one thread is on removing it from underneath and one is on removing it from to top by first removing the degas bottle, then the FICM).

I don't know how else to help if that doesn't do it.

Look at this picture. From the front of the truck, look under your alternator. On the valve cover. See the little brown colored sensor right at the bottom of the picture. If that isn't there, it's under the turbo. Which you can see in the second picture. (which I got from here: Powerstroke 6.0L Technical Intro Manual )
