i just wanna add my $.02 on 107 degree temps. driving back from tahoe yesterday it was pushing 107 as per my buddy's mini cooper on-board computer screen... i think at that point its just stupid hot. 103 to 105 feels like a hair dryer being blown on my arm.. 107? at that temp i think thats what its like being inside of a clothes dryer. once it got back to the 60-70s here in oakland, it felt downright cool!

Truck related topic of the heat. On Thursday afternoon I rinsed off the dust from my 67 so I could take it to work and cruise it around with the hood off in American Graffiti tribute. I let the hose water pool across the windshield too fast.....CRACK.....all the way from top to bottom on the passenger side. At least it isnt in my direct view, but a real bummer. Really liking the 3G alternator. Truck hadnt started in a month, yet cranked faster than it ever did as a daily driver. Well worth the half price day at pick n pull!

That is a bummer about the windshield cracking, but good news about it starting right up after sitting for a month.

That would be Monterey.

Down here on the Monterey Peninsula, the whole Central Coast is one big temperate climate zone. A hot day for us is temps in the 80's. When the San Jose area and the Bay area heat up to high 90's and triple digits, our freeways get packed with people coming down to enjoy the mid to high 70 degree temps.

On those days when the marine layer isn't just off the coast, it will heat up to the 80's.

Regularly it's usually around mid 60's temps.
