Compound
We are getting a new addition to our family soon. Red Queensland heeler about a yr old. Poor guy was hit by a car and left for dead with compound fractures in passender side front and rear. Hence I named him Compound.
Runs around just fine and is energetic and just waiting to come home. He is finishing rehab now and with trainers.
Smoke gets along fine with him so hopefully no fighting.
Thought I`d share this tidbit
That's cool Hank. I love heelers. Had my first for 9 years and my second will be 3 this fall. Theyre great dogs. Love to herd everything though. IE, children, cars...
Thanks Gig , Rick
Ive had blues and reds as we had a ranch growing up. Smart dogs. Compound healed up nicely so if you didnt know about fractures you couldn't tell. One day my qtr horse had Tucker (blue) pinned in cab of truck as Bogey (horse) was chewing on my trucks seat. Funny now but not then.
Happened to be downtown and passed an adoption event going on and went home thought about it and went back and rest is history. Apparently after he was hit someone carried him off road and left him. Vet said that throughout ordeal he never cried(?) and is just full of energy. Tough dude.
Yeah, I just went outside to check the mail and it felt like I stepped into a blast furnace. I come inside, and check the temps, and it says 105. and tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter. Bleah. I hate the summer heat here. rain would be a welcome change that is for sure!
