Well, today is my lucky day. I have received two awesome phone calls today. Well, actually one, because I called my attorney instead of him calling me. Anyway, he states that Farmer's has issued a partial check, which he will deposit in his account today. He said he will be in Mexico next week on vacation, but has instructed his office to have a check for me on Friday the 28th. normally it takes 2 weeks for the check to clear, but he is willing to give me my portion in one week because of my financial situation. He says the second half should be here sometime in August due to Medi-Cal claiming it will be 45 days before they can give a final lien amount. He also told me it should be more than what I expect. So that is even better news.
Also, received a call from the FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) at the VA hospital and she tells me that I have stage 1 CLL and do not need chemo or bone marrow tests done, just need to come in every 3 months for blood work. that is awesome news and would have been the best news I had received all day if it wasn't for the news of the settlement check. So needless to say I am a happy camper right now.
Awesome Joe, will have to hook up sometime, after next weekend, I have your number saved, will give you a call. I will be busy Friday getting the Bronco fixed, and Saturday four wheeling, and then Sunday moving into my new place, which is only a mile away from the house I lived in on Fairmont Ave, in a mobile home park. And Monday I am going up to Sacramento to pick up a big black kitty (Jaguar). So needless to say, I will be very busy for the next week or so.
