Happy hump day Nor cal FTE and friends. The weekend is almost here. decided to postpone buying the Jag until my next settlement check. This will give me more money for other priorities. Main one being rent, since I don't want to be homeless again anytime soon, I will be paying a full 12 months up front.
Joe, yes, I know the advantages of of ARB up front, and like I said I am thinking of getting it, but I will not be able to until August even if I do decide to add it. I have quite a few upgrades planned for the Bronco once I am settled in, and able to concentrate on it instead of moving, getting furniture, paying the rent, and adding at least one window AC unit. Not too mention, I don't have a TV or stereo anymore, so I have to get those. Right now, the only thing I am going to do to the Bronco is a tune up, oil and filter change, and fix that stupid running crappy problem, which I hope thje tune up fixes. Oh, and I'll get a class III frame mounted hitch installed with a 2" ball, and both 4 pin, and 7 pin connectors. Oops, also forgot, get rid of that stereo and speakers for a good sounding one. I wanted to have the LS installed before the 4x4 trip, but since the check is getting here the day before the trip that isn't going to happen. so that will probably happen in august as well.
Excellent idea Joe. I was really surprised when you bought the Suburban. I mean you were a single guy what did you need a 9 passenger truck for? LOL And besides, it isn't a Ford.
I can justify my Jag purchase because Jaguar was owned by Ford when it was made, so it is ok.
Buy an Excursion next time Just kidding, buy whatever you want. However, I agree with you it is time to get the 350 up and running. So we can go to Pismo together and have some fun.
Well that sucks, I thought you already had a job. Good luck with Gallo.
Happy thirsty Thursday Nor-Cal FTE and friends, and with temps going over 100 today I am sure a lot of peeps will be thirsty. One more day until my life changes for the better. I bet I get no sleep tonight. (Is Santa here yet? LOL) Tomorrow, I move into my own place, get out of this veteran's plaza and become a normal pay-my-own-way kind of guy. I will not have internet access until sometime Sunday between noon and 2pm when the Comcast guy is supposed to arrive, but I can always go to a Mc Donald's and check my emails (if I am not too busy moving in and getting settled.)
So I may not post until Sunday as Saturday is the Ballinger trip and Friday is already booked up with getting the check, going to the bank, getting the U-Haul trailer, moving, and then taking the Bronco in to Pep Boys for a tune up and oil change. That should cure the running crappy part, and if not, I am sure they will tell me what it needs. LOL Besides, who knows how long it has gone without a tune up or oil change? Not like I know the previous owners of the truck.
i changed the oil when i frist brought it but i new it needed a tune up fellet down on power for a 5.8 v8 i had a job when i was working for my mom taking care of gmom
Wish I had the time to get the Bronco tuned up before the move, but it will have to happen after. No big deal, my storage unit is only 3 miles or so away from the home I am moving to, so it should be fine. As long as it is running well for the 4x4 trip. I will actually be able to fill up that 32 gallon tank for the first time since I owned it. Guess I better buy a locking gas cap too while I am at Pep Boys.
