Juanita had a good race and to be honest I kinda slept on/off throughout race. Was pooped. Neat seeing JJ black flagged letting others have at it.

Going to have to put my thermals on, and get out that heavy jacket as it is only going to be 97 today instead of 103. LOL. Happy Monday Nor cal FTE and friends, hope everyone is staying cool.

Excellent idea. I try to do everything either early in the morning, or late in the evening, depending of course on what it is I need done. If I don't have to be out in this heat, I try not to be.

Happy Two for Tuesday! Hope everyone has a cool day, and gets all their errands done before the heat arrives. In my case, I will be getting my once a month free haircut, and going to the VA hospital to figure out why the hearing in my left ear has gone down to 10%. Been this way for about a week or so, and using the ear wax removal solution has not helped.

Well, got word. The cabin still stands.
The fireline is within 50' of the house, according to the Public Information Officer for LA County Fire Dept. He sent me a picture from his Iphone and it looks like the weed abatement I did adjacent to the private road next to the house is what they used to hold the fire. I just finished the work the day the fire started, so WOW, good timing eh?

Excellent timing Tim. Glad to hear the house was not touched. As for my hearing loss, I have no clue why only one side would go bad, and after checking it at the hospital, the Dr. wanted me to make an appointment with the Audiology lab, but when I went up there to do that, I found out they are closed today and tomorrow. The Dr. did give me a new prescription for my high blood pressure though as the old one ran out months ago, and it seems my blood pressure is way too high. Maybe the anticipation of getting the check is making it do that. I know it is making me have many sleepless nights.
