Here is the 91 300 5 speed doing what it does best. You guys haul some serious loads!!! Nice trucks

Yes I had to push it up my driveway!

Not a ford, but I figured you guys would appreciate a truck doing what a truck should do Without the Ford, I couldn't have fixed or even gotten my GMC All original just about everything. Minus the split rims. 5.14 Rear end ears.

Not too much of a load, but probably a good 700-750 lbs of motor:

1971 460, bored .030 over, huge cam, ported DOVE-C heads, iron intake. Going in my truck soon!

Heres a decent load!

3500lbs of rock dust in my F150!

Mudflaps dragging the ground all the way home!

Axle was sitting right on the bump stops!

Couldn't go over 40mph, truck was ALL over the road, couldn't keep it in a straight line. Dragged that weight pretty good tho with the 300 Big Six and 2.73 gears behind the C6, and stopped it good to!

Sounds dangerous in an F-150. I think I'd have made two trips...

My '92 IDI/ZF 4x4. My shop/home is 1/2 mile up a very steep winding gravel road. I need every bit of this truck to haul a 10,000 lb load(not including the trailer which has 12" I beam frame) up the hill. I would be lost without it. In the process of building a flatbed for it right now. I routinely haul 12' wood beams and the new bed means I won't have to take the trailer off the island much anymore. That's a 180.00 reduction in the ferry ticket.

It's about length. Size matters in th Washington state ferries. They sell a commuter ticket if tou are under 22 feet. Costs 105.00 for five trips. As soon as you pull a trailer, you are measured and it's way out of reason. My f350 has an 11,000 gvw or thereabouts. I can haul a lot of 12' beeams for the 22' commuter ticket. I went to Martha's Vineyard once and that was a big ticket too. Lots of Sissons in Rhode Island. My Grandpa owned Sissons Garage( the ford dealership) in Wareham Mass. He died WAY back in in 1928 and my Grandma sold out to the Suddard family who still runs Suddard ford in Wareham Mass. Born in Seattle in 1953, but have a lot of history in New England. My existing relatives there drank up any family money that might be associated with 'old money'.......

too much.way,way too much.
your thinking is backwards actually.when the trip distance is close, there is little time and gas saved by attempting to do what you did.you could have actually saved time by taking 2 trips and driven the speed limit.
when you can save time and fuel is on the long hauls.that's when you would haul extra heavy (but not like this.this is out of reason of course lol) and just drive real slow and easy in the break down lane if needed.you'd still save time and fuel if the trip was 50-60 miles.
when it's a 10 mile or less trip, just double up the loads cus you'll save nothing, and in this case possibly brake the truck.

i was about to ask where are all your diesel trucks? but i guess it looks like all you have for a diesel truck is just your dads old one and the other is a van and motorhome.seems like you had a couple diesel trucks for some reason.guess not if your doing stuff like this haha!
hope you got that cab off.you don't have but just a couple weeks to put that '90 back together before the snow flies! least it's gunna feel that way soon.

Scrapped a couple rigs a few weeks ago, grossed just over 16k with a diesel burb and just over 15k with the hi-boy.

These are a from a few years ago when I traded my 85 supercab for an 86 with a 6.9.
