Thx Giesterfarher- don't have much free time these days with the new baby boy. I did get the new rear end last weekend. I had to put the wheels on and mock it up. Now I'm just waiting on the no limit 4 link.
Widened to fit without tubbing my bed.
New moser axles with disc brakes.
I used the housing Garbz gave me and the third member housing. New 3 1/4 gears with all new bearings and seals. New trac lok posi too.
Had to put wheels on just to see what it looks like!
Started on the No Limit fatbar this weekend. Ran into a few problems. I'm not too happy with this kit. Let me start off by saying one of the bars cracked while trying to get it into the front bracket. The instructions are horrible. Almost all of my bar bushings are too wide to fit into their bracket..
It was great to meet you at your place on Saturday. I got all motivated and actually removed the Jag IRS out of my son's truck and moved it to it's proper ride height. Of course I did too much work and was pretty sore by the end of the day due to that surgery.
It looks like you guys made some good progress.
Got the c notches cut with the plasma cutter. My first time with a plasma. Those things are no joke. Still have to do a little grinding. Next weekend will be finishing coil overs and panhard bar. I still like to have Garbz around for the supervision
This first pic I had two lines to follow. I didn't make that bad of a cut.

WOW, for that weld to have cracked so completely just from anything you could have done to install it is VERY scary! I honestly don't know that I'd proceed until No Limit offered up some real assurances that is a fluke.

15,000 degrees is fun to play with, ain't it? I like to tack a piece of 3/32" wire 1/8 of an inch from the cut line to use as a guide. It gives me a clean cut, and a lot less grinding. I hate grinding. Especially at odd angles, since the sparks always tend to find their way behind my safety shield and glasses or in my ear. LOL!
Giester you're totally right!! Sparks in my mask, flying all over the place. Albuq, I called and emailed No Limit. They sent me a new bar, and assured me the other bars are ok. I'm not happy with the bushings not fitting into the brackets. We had to relieve cut the front brackets on the top mount to get the bushings to fit in.
All in all, I'm not too happy with the No Limit kit. Directions are horrible, nothing fits correctly. The axle mounts for the bars had to be trimmed to fit the housing. The panhard bar mount sits directly under the frame. In their picture, it's on the inside of the frame rail.

Them saying they are "OK" isn't what I'd call "assurance".
It's normal to have to squeeze urethane to get it into the bracket, but not a whole lot. Do the bushings have a center steel tube?

It's not the urethane bushing that I have to squeeze. It's the inner steel tube is too wide to fit into the bracket. about 1/8 inch. Garbz wrote the owner Rob of No Limit but we haven't heard back... And I ruined a adjustable end (bushing and steel tube), and emailed them and said I need to order another one, and also I haven't heard back... Not great customer service in this experience...
To make an accurate cut with a plasma cutter: make a pattern out of 1/8" hardboard (sufficiently under or oversized to match your nozzle) Clamp or screw the pattern to the piece of metal to be cut and run around it with the nozzle against the pattern. Don't worry the PC cuts so fast the pattern won't even scorch. Perfect cut every time. For straight cuts clamp a straight edge or piece of angle iron to the metal. I'd have packed up the whole thing and sent it back to No Limit! Did it have a made in China sticker on the box?
Good example of what happens with a no penetration weld. That welder should be fired.
