I bought some Grand General LEDs. they were the right size to fit on the mirrors and low profile. #76190 (small low Profile Spyder LED Marker/Clearance Light w Chrome Bezel)
-Drilled a hole in the housing right under the pivot point to mount grommet/run wire.
-Then drilled a hole in frame( square hole in door skin behind) Got that idea from Brent
- Used 14/3 extension cord. It has a heavy jacket and is stranded wire for flexing at the hinge point.
-Just need to figure out how to make them blink
now that is cool Brad those mirrors that is. That makes me wonder if we should do something like that on our 89 F350 that we are doing a 4x4 conversion on.

Brad I just showed my dad and my 2 younger brothers your build thread they are really impressed. It takes alot to impress my dad. He loves the color scheme and painting. You did a good job. Can't wait to see it complete.

Getting a lil more done today.
Had to run around this am and get some welding wire, Adhesive for the dually fender mods and pigment for the bedliner that will go inside the dually fender and the inner wheel well of the bed.
When i got home, welded up some cracks then rolled the bed out back for some sandblasting and painting, Also doing my airbag mounts since they went to crap in 1 winter. Right now have the POR15 on, waiting for it to set up so i can topcoat it with the tractor black
This is one of the best builds I've seen on a forum! Excellent attention to detail, color scheme, and tips and tricks.....NICE job!
I did some trading for my 87 F250,RC,long bed basically to serve 2 purpouses. 1,to tow our 5th.wheel camper and 2,because I wanted something to play with. I never planned on going to extremes like you have but I just wanted a decent "ole" truck. My main priority was just making sure everything on the truck worked like it should and getting the 5th. hitch and frame hitch installed to tow with. I don't have the money to buy nice new parts so it's either my buddy and I fabricating stuff or the local salvage yards.I kinda lucked out where the body is concerned, fairly straight,a few knuckle dents here and there and the only rust was over the rear wheel wells and that was only about 1/4"-1/2"x 6".....not bad!The interior wasn't bad either, seat was really nice,no tears, door panels were decent, dash, etc. The headliner is probably the worst.
Reading the post's and threads on this site has helped me fix alot of stuff from guys with the same problems to the guys that learned the hard way or already had the knowledge to know where to start looking and pinpointing the cause(s).
I've gone through the same kinda things with my 2006 Yamaha Rhino. Never had one,had to learn alot and when you find a good forum like this one, there worth their weight in gold! The guys here bend over backwards to help you, take their time and show progress (sometimes with pics like this guy did).Saves you time, money, and alot of headaches and frustration!!
Thankyou guys....keep up the great work, all is appreciated!!

Redbadbig I am pretty sure that is what this forum is for. I am pretty sure Brad has ran into trouble with his trucks that he doesn't understand so he got help and he returns the favor. Trust me alot of people have helped me and others I have helped. That is the good thing about this forum. Luckly thier is people whom had experienced these things and they take the time to help everybody.

Just got done spraying the bed, fenders, tailgate, fuel doors and associated hardware . It turned out pretty good. Lil dirt(as to be expected) 2 flys in 1st coat of clear(was able to pick them out). Over all I am pleased. Tomorrow the spray in berliner in the inner wheel wheels and backsides of the dually fenders
Realized when untaping I screwed up the tailgate. I'll have to redo that
Brad that truck looks kick ***. A couple of questions: first off, with the peel & seal being asphalt based, is there any smell to it? Or did you leave it out in the sun (I've heard that helps.with the smell). Also was this just for noise, or for heat insulation also?
Cleaned, repacked and installed the front wheel bearings and some new grease seals in the dually hubs, Hopefully install them tomorrow.
Also tried to respray the tailgate, but that came back to bite me
Also got my wheels all polished up today
