Being laid off I have a lil time on my hands and being winter, it is cap season.(let the HATE begin)
FINALLY got around to color matching the cap.
Took windows out sunday and started stripping pealing clear with razor blade
Yesterday I sanded it all down with some 220 and primed it. Today I wet sanded with 600 and sprayed it
Hope tomorrow to get the windows in and back on the truck.
I have a roof rack off a bronco i am thinking if putting on, but will have to see if it will still fit in the garage

I like what you did with the camper top. When I start work on my truck, I want to pull the cap off and fix the leaks and paint it white to match the truck.
Looking good Brad, sounds like you've gotten a lot accomplished recently. My 95 came with that exact cap installed. I took it off last year, but I kept it, just in case I decide to use it.
Looks great Brad, yea have had caps generally don't like them but can be necessary in the winter time keep the crap out of the box.
Cap on snow plow trucks they create pretty large vision impairment to the rear.
I don't care for the look because tends make pickup truck look like an old farts ride, that said.....there is no way to make one of your trucks look like an old fart ride!

I don't use the rearview when plowing, jut the side mirrors. I have no problem with caps. I'm used to plowing in mason dumps though.
As of the old fart look. That was the 1st thing I though of when I pulled it outside. It reminds me of one of my dads trucks when I was a kid

Yea use the mirrors hate having to turn around look out the window but I plow residential apartment complexes. Used to do banks/restaurants very early morning hours and while no one else was in the lots....absolute heaven by comparison!
People can and will walk and or drive right out behind ya while backing up take the next pass.
Backing down between two rows of parked cars looking in the drivers rear view can really only see whats going on that side, while doing that same time some moron walks or backs their car out into the isle other side and just as about to pass by, they do so without given it a second thought.
I go fairly slow but even then without turning around looking out the back window you wouldn't see em do it, have time to stop or otherwise ovoid them when it happens.
Everybody keeps talking bad about the cap, I personally like them. Only on certain trucks though. Yours looks good with it. And why did you decide to not use the big bumper on the front? I think that woulda looked sweet.
