Time to head to Home Depot to get some ten dollar a day mexicans.

I've been to Carlisle a lot for the all ford weekend, never went to the truck nationals though. Maybe this year, if I have time...

Just found this thread. Man that's was a SICK truck Brad! With dually and without.

When you made your IC pipes did you just use a universal ebay pipe kit and just do it yourself? I gotta get my IC on my '97 before my desert trip and wondering about tryin to do it myself...

I bought them from a guy. They are aluminum tubes TIG welded together.

I would NOT use steel tubing, it RUSTS

Yeah, I want aluminum over steel because of heat soak, and of course rust. I might even header wrap them or have them ceramic coated depending on how nice they turn out. I have a friend who tig's so I guess I'll just make 'em myself. I got the early 99 spider and an 02 all aluminum intercooler. Looking forward to it. I can feel the power loss once it's heat soaked on the highway.

Sorry for the thread resurrection but since Brad pointed me to it, I figure it's OK. Again, to echo the consensus, I want to add my kudos- Incredible work Brad!! And Thanks for pointing me to your thread!!! Being fairly new here, and not knowing a lot, what is your rig that you're referring to? My ultimate dream truck is an OBS '97 F250 HD CCSB 4WD with a 460!! Got any leads on that?

Being that you sold it two years ago, would you mind disclosing the details of what you had into it and what you got out of it? I'd love to know how much you paid for it, what you had in parts, and the final sales price was for your truck. Hope your efforts were rewarded in some nice earnings!! I read in one of your earlier posts that you are an electrician contractor for the power company but that you were laid off. I'm sure you're gainfully employed by now, but IMHO, you should be restoring trucks for a living!!! I gotta think it would be quite lucrative nowadays especially with the price of OBS rigs!! Thanks again Brad!!!

I got a Marti report for my 96 460 truck last year. ONE OF ONE it is my avatar pic

As for my CCSB I had OVER $25k into it and I did EVERYTHING myself other than the trans rebuild which was $450. If I was to have paid someone to do everything I did I would of EASLLY had over 50k in it

The '96 is a 350 CCLB. What makes it so unique? Do you have a thread on it? Would like to check it out! Wow, that's a lot of coin invested in the CCSB. Hope there was some "meat on the bone" to make a little profit from your work.

I didn't make a cent on the CCSB

As for my 96 F350

550,607 F-series trucks made in 96
16,893 were crewcab F350 pickups, of them
2.960 came with the 460, of them
558 came with the 5 speed, of them
7 were oxfordwhie/royal blue, of them
4 had the blue 40/20/40, of them
1 had the off-road pkg

That is my truck

I did not realize so few of the 96 CC 350 460 5 speed trucks were made, as I also have one. I might have to do a marti report for mine just for fun.

That is sooo cool!!! Did you know what you had before you got it or found out after the fact? Is the “blue 40/20/40” the two tone paint? Bummer about the CCSB. With the popularity of the OBS trucks, I think you could develop a business plan to make your efforts turn a nice profit.

I had no clue, just knew it was not a very common combination.

The 40/20/40 is the seat.

I paid 8600 for the CCSb back in 2010/2011 and pretty much tore the truck down to a rolling chassis. I would venture to say I had at the very least 800 hours into it. Then figure $75 and hour it would be at $60,000 in just labor alone
