Hey Fastback, I just watched a youtube clip of the exhaust on your 460, it sounds great. I redid my exhaust on my 95 f150 over the winter and have not put tailpipes on it yet haha I stopped at my muffler. I like the way you 45'ed your tailpipes out behind the bumper. Anyway you could send me a few pictures? all I could see is the side view in the video.

    Thanks, Travis

So now I've got a good list going of stuff I need. Right now my passenger side mirror falls if someone slams the door hard enough. I don't get many passengers, but it drives me nuts! I have an old stick I keep under my seat to tap it because it's so far away once I'm behind the wheel. I can't seem to be able to tighten it. I'm assuming it's a ball joint inside?
So many questions and not even 9am.
Have a good day! Hope the weather stays nice. It's so windy here today I saw a girl on a bicycle tip right over. Haha.

    I'll stop talking now!

I ended up standing with about thirty guys, waiting while a 90s F250 was being craned into the yard, and then watching the thirty guys surround it the second it touched the ground. Full tool sets, jacks, etc. In maybe 10 minutes all the tires, bumpers, doors, seats and side mirrors were off. It really bummed me out. Haha. I was standing there with one phillips and a little baby pry bar. Kind of hilarious. The only thing there were plenty of were the dome lights, which I regret not taking. Mine was working fine until a few days after I got back from the pick a part (of course).

    Hey Jake,
73! Haha nice. I don't mind 80 degree heat as long as I don't have to move. Haha. I'm always cleaning the inside of my truck, but the seats and carpets are so full of dust, it's like it never ends! I can't quite figure out how to get it perfectly clean without using a wet vac and letting it dry out for a couple days. My streets are super super wide and I can't get close enough to the house. Excuses, excuses!
Yeah both of my visors are shredded. I've been to a few pick a parts but out here there is NOTHING. I went looking for visors, the license plate chrome lamps, and the dual tank toggle button. Nothing fancy, because I really have no idea what I'm doing.

    Hey Jake,

How's the weather out there? All I know about PA is that every time I've driven through I can't believe how humid it is. I'm a ninny when it comes to heat! Where in PA are you?
Did you get that truck washed? Haha. Just took mine to the quarter do it yourself place and spent about $900 because it takes me so long with the hoses getting caught on the bumpers and not being able to reach the roof.
I'm looking for a quick, doable project... Thinking the sun visors- mine are shredded and leave all kinds of dust and crumbles in my hair, haha. I'd buy new ones but I can't find any that match. So that might be fun.
Hope you're good and enjoying spring!

    Hey Jake!
Man that is bananas! I can't even imagine what that kind of daily cold is like. We've got the opposite- winter is high 50s/60s and when it hits 63 you go to the beach! Haha. I've got some good salt air rust going... I just can't imagine junking my truck if it got too bad. To go through the hassle of finding another you'd love just as much (and runs as well) seems like more trouble than just paying to fix it. I'm just not a newer car person! Plus it makes me happy to spend the money for some reason.
I was talking to the guy who helped me with my alternator and he said that Ford bombed with diesel engines for a few years. I guess 80s through 90s? I'd never heard of that before but he said we're lucky to have the gas ones. I will not argue
Take care of yourself and keep taking rad pictures! Love those of your truck in the snow. Thanks for sharing!

Such a shame that people don't keep them up. I loved that I could hear the guy pulling around the bend because his water pump whines just like mine. Haha.
I think the only thing I'd want now is one like yours- so I can maybe find parking without driving around the block 500 times.
Hope you're keeping warm out there!

It's been so much time I had time to find out I needed a new alternator! Haha. Went in yesterday. Found a great mechanic by total coincidence who drives the same exact truck as me! Learned a LOT in the past few days on the forum... I wish I'd gotten into this sooner.
And yeah, the most common compliment I get is about the body. Mostly new Ford owners who had them long ago and want to talk about how much more "like a truck" they looked back then.
Yours is still the coooolest! I'm rarely envious of someone else's truck, but oof. It's just too cool.

That's awesome! I'm excited to get into finally getting that back sorted out. I have so much random stuff that migrates every time I turn! Thanks Jake!

    Have a great weekend

Well don't feel bad Christa, it's almost a month later before I saw your message . I either wasn't paying attention or it just didn't show

Most girls I know hate my truck and are afraid to drive it, they say it's too big and too loud (even though it's not even lifted). So any girl that drives a truck is okay in my book. Especially if that truck is an OBS.
I have to say I've never heard of the accelerator spring breaking, that sucks.

The outside dimensions of the box are: 52"L X 7"W X 4 1/2"H, which leaves room to put the seat all the way back, and you can grab the latch to tilt the seat without hitting your knuckles on it. And if you paint the box it will give it some protection from the mildew, should it come back, lets hope it doesn'

    Hey Jake!
Sorry, somehow I never saw your message. I'd love some measurements if it isn't too much trouble. The inner dimensions look standard, so they should work.
I know exactly what you're talking about. I get sooo much crap for keeping/driving my truck. I got tires put on recently and the guy who did it spend 40 minutes lecturing me on why a girl shouldn't drive a truck and how I should buy a hybrid. Haha. It's awful. It's completely impractical, except that I'm in love with it. So, we're sticking together .
Today my accelerator spring broke, so that's fun.
The mildew is gone but I feel like it'll come back. I don't want to put a nice wood box back there just to have it rot... I've got buckets of damprid back there but with the rain I'm fighting an uphill battle.
Thanks again and take care!! I have no idea how I missed your message. This place is wonky.
