OSHA won't like that, especially since he is not wearing a hard hat .
So many dangerous jobs in the working world. Just last week at our local high school a 27 year old man was killed working on the roof. He was not a school district employee. He climbed a 30 foot ladder carrying a 5 gallon bucket of sealant. When he went to put the bucket onto the roof the shift in weight made the ladder slide sideways. He fell and landed on concrete. Very sad.
There were other ways to get the bucket on the roof. The head maintenance man at the district said there is a way onto the roof from inside the building.
Modular construction started to get big in the 70’s but for some reason it died out.
There is a subdivision in my home town that is about 75% modular construction. I think it took a couple of days to have one stacked and “dried in” back then.
It was a beautiful day in Central PA. I took Old Betsy to the valley we call the East End. A lot of Amish live there. I went to Stoltzfus Butcher Shop to get fresh ground hamburger. We stopped there during Truckstock one year . Then I stopped at an Amish produce stand for peppers and onions.
in the distance you can see an Amishman raking hay.
We have a large Amish population that has moved into our area. The San Luis Valley of south central Colorado.
Always amazing to see them plowing or harvesting with horse drawn equipment.
Yup
In Studebaker's case they were broke and couldn't afford new styling. They cut down the Lark bodies to make the cabs and then bough the old Dodge (57-60) bed stampings for the wide beds. The frames were basically unchained from that late 40's through the mid 60's. It's not really the greatest of fits, but somehow it all works.
At least Ford used their own bed stampings. They used the wide beds from the "frigerator" era trucks for several years in the early 60's after the cabs got the new styling.
