took a drive out to Rosamond....a small town a few miles north of me. I drove by the old Tropico gold mine. Gold was discovered in the 1890's and the mine closed in 1956.
This was a few days ago. First time I had the old girl out past her bedtime(sunset)
Passenger headlight is good, need to adjust the driver side.
I like how your instrument panel lights up. Did you put in LED bulbs in?

Your geography and scenery sure is different than what we see here in "Penn's Woods."
just for you, John... I fretted about hood alignment before we finished... an old rod friend told me it doesn't matter if the hood is open ....so !!!
j
I think they look better this way John. I've been to car shows where I would have liked taking a picture of what looked like a really nice ride if it didn't have the hood up..
It sure looks nice and bright. I have 1 bulb burned out. I should look into getting an LED.
Do they make 6 volt LED dash bulbs?
My truck has been converted to 12v. I don’t remember if the lights are on a voltage reducer, or if it was switched to a 56’ headlight system. But I’m almost certain the headlights are 12v.

Abe,
I also have a 1930 Model A so hang out on the Ford Barn and other model A sites. They often mention 6V LED bulbs. I don't know where to get them, though. I bet any NAPA or O'Reilly's will have them.

Sounds like you live on the sensible side then Wayne. That law applies across this country too but anytime you drive the highway you'll always see some on their phones, I've seen them filming us when driving the pickup some times...lol
I often wonder how many get caught and fined..

Have you ever been forced to take the shoulder of the highway to avoid a head on collision with a transport truck because you clearly seen the driver with a cell phone to his ear? It's not a fun experience, maybe it was for him. I've never tried the reverse because I try to consider the safety of not only myself but for everyone I share the road with.. it's a shame so many think only of themselves..
Pokomoonshine Mt. Northern Adirondacks. If you can see it there is a fire tower (out of use for many years now) on top between the trees. Color is all but gone up here.

Firetowers are a thing of the past here in PA too. The leaves are past their peak but still hanging on in North Central PA.
