MCarlson, Congrats!!!! I bet you still can't wipe the grin off your face.
Ross, beautiful views. I can't wait until I can do something like that. The urge to just take off and drive for a few days is strong in me at the moment.
Not only is mine 'off year', but it's also through the back window, not the windshield. This was last spring, hauling my just bought '47 half ton over Stevens Pass with my '92 f350. This is to be my project this winter.....
I have waited so long to be able to add to this thread. It's taken me six and a half years to be able to drive her around town. It's not the greatest pick, but I know you guys will appreciate the effort it took to get it.
Mike
We sure do, Mike! Six years! What a moment. Hope you celebrated with an ale or three!
Always wanted to post in this, but have never been game to take the old girl very far. Recently my best mate and I went out of town, about an hour and a half trip each way, to visit a great motorcycle swap meet we have visited for many years. This is the furthest I have been game to drive it, expected to break down (never has yet) but got home safe and sound. On the way I asked him to take some photos. He is in a worse way than I am healthwise, and not real good with some techy things. Like phone cameras.
When I got to look at them he had about twenty odd photos, all with his thumb in front of the lens. I suggested videos at one stage and he got some. A lot of great shots of his feet, the dashboard and occasionally out of the windscreen. I culled them to several short ones of about ten seconds each, shame I can't put them together for a little idea of some of the country we passed through. I can't work out how to post a video off my computer. So a pretty pathetic attempt but I was so looking forward to putting some photos in here finally.
I took one photo of an old Ford truck near the swap meet. I cheated with this, It was through the drivers window.
And my old bus in the parking lot at the swap meet. I should have taken one through the windshield when I pulled up looking over the swap meet field .
Hey Neville,
Your truck looks great! The old pink one back there - not so much. That one looks pretty beat up. Did you find any parts at the swap meet?
I can never remember what season it is down there in Australia - looks like summer.
