I'm going under the knife (or the scope, which is more accurate) tomorrow for my left knee. Doc is having me stay home for the next two weeks ( two weeks off, doing nothing? Yeah, I'm all over that!!). I'll still be coming by, just later in the day, since I'll be sleeping in!
Good morning Iowa! When will the heat wave end????
Did you make it out to see the B29 Roger? There was an air show in Sioux Falls over the weekend, the Blue Angels performed... would have been fun to watch if wasn't so hot outside.

Yep... flying half mast in memory of what might have been a win...
I did get out the the B29, they also had a C45 there. If I had the cash, could have gone for a flight in it, but not at this time... The B29 was more cash than I am willing to give up at this point...

I have been getting to "enjoy" the hot weather while processing scrap... Gotta keep some cash coming in until I can actually get a paycheck again. Still seems to be on track for getting started on the 6th. I do have another interview for a closer job with Underwriter's Laboratories in Newton, which is about half the distance. Figure might as well see how that works out. Then I have a backup plan if the job in Ankeny falls through somehow.
I have use of a building at my parent's, which isn't far, but it still requires the time and effort to go there, vs just walking off of my doorstep to it to go work on something.
I was in the same boat. I could use my mother in laws place, which I did for two years, but got to be too much of a hassle. Plus, my brother in laws needed to use it also. I"m trying to get the garage at the new house cleaned out, so I can at least work on my 67 again.
For the most part, I am the sole user, however, it sets me up for distraction in that my father will come and drag me off to something he wants done, and my sister tends to wander in and yap forever or want something done... If I can stay home, they have to put in effort to come bother me...
