Yeah, we have season tickets, so no point in wasting them... My nephew is here from Germany for the month, so we take him as well, and now both daughters are going.
Races were pretty good, no rainouts this time. Had both my daughters there as well as my nephew from Germany.
On a happier note, I have a job offer from John Deere Des Moines! They are even starting me out higher than I was asking for, but that is one of the benefits of using the talent acquisition companies. They get paid a commission based on the wages that I get, so they of course shoot for higher wages for me as well. The gentleman I interviewed with has taken a similar life path as I did, so understands quite well what I can bring to the table.

That is very awesome Roger. Are you going to wait to see if the others make an offer or is it a done deal?
The one from Des Moines is choosing to pursue other candidates, the one in Monticello has been notified if they want in, they best do so. I do like the job itself more, it isn't pigeon holed into one spot, but will be a variety of positions actually. They also are aware and unafraid of having to train/teach me a bit more, but I have found that to be true of Deere in general.

Most, more advanced companies, prefer people who are not trained. They don't like engineers and techs coming in with a bunch of bad habits. I am in the electronics field and have found that true on many aspects.
Same here, we are way behind on rain as well. We have been lucky and gotten some at key points, but not much. Haven't even gotten over an inch at a time all season...
Estimate is already 14% lost. I saw a field the other day that all of the end rows are a couple feel tall and all burned up. Not sure why it was just the end rows, and nothing more...
Good morning and have a productive hump day Iowa. Got some rain from thunderstorms yesterday. My home rain gauge say .079" had been about a week since any rain
