Good morning Iowa, happy Hump Day! I've been thinking I need to find a little econobeater to drive to work, the diesel is getting to pricey, and I"m putting too many miles on it.
First tank through is 27 mpg, not terrible. still have work to do to make it acceptable, but should be ok for a work car. it is a bit beat and has quite a few miles on it, but at least I won't feel bad racking up the miles on it
Good morning Iowa , happy Hump Day! Last day of my extended staycation, I go see the doc tomorrow morning, to get my work clearance, and head back to the plant after that. Bummer!
I FINALLY got some security clearance yesterday. Off today to take care of other things. Maybe Monday they will have everything in place so I can actually do my job duties. I was snooping through parts books and everything trying to at least learn something useful while not really having anything to do. Funny thing is, by having done that, one of my coworkers was trying to find specs on an obscure part, and I was able to come up with the obsoleted number which helped them find what they needed. I guess, take the guy out of the parts store... can't take the parts store out of the guy... Starting to get to be able to to do a few things, finally got outside internet about time to leave yesterday. Now I can send emails outside of the Deere system, as well as receive them... couldn't before. I couldn't even go to McMaster Carr or Grainger. Kind of two important sites for a manufacturing engineer to have access to. The no outside email was an issue too, if needing to get quotes for things.
