So beside being February it was brought up that we hit the mid East Coast for dinner when it warms up.
Past few years it's been typical to head north, south, east and west to reach out to far away members. Try to keep it within 2 hrs one way for each party. That's put us all over the state but the furthest corners.
So Williamston is about halfway for most that would typically make it. 1 1/2ish each way abouts. Few good places in Williamston to eat. There's other places near by as well. Open for suggestions. Get it on the calendar for the eastern portion of the que for hope rally.

Burger, BBQ or Mexican sounds good to me. I'm good if you guys want to plan Garner for Tuesday night. Should be some options out there. Isn't there a good BBQ out of 70 somewhere? Then there is always City or Redneck Lab as options. But if we want to go a little further to Smithfield, then I can always do a buffet!

For some time later in the year...
Do y'all eat steak? One of the guys in my car club said after he came back from Vietnam in 1969, he moved to Wilson. And this was one of his favorite restaurants to go to. He had a stroke and a couple of us built him a ramp so he could get in & out of the house in a wheelchair, and as a thank you he brought us out here and treated us to dinner. Have to say this was the best steak I ever had, and he said to me that he didn't think they've even changed the decor inside the place at all, still the same funky checkered tablecloths from 45+ years ago
There is no menu. Everybody gets steak, baked potato, and salad bar. The only option is what size steak. And they are gooooood. Thats the pro's, the con's - very small place and usually a long wait. Best thing we did was get there at opening time on a Sunday (5pm) and we got seated right away.
Beefmastors - Tarheel Traveler was there and had a story yesterday.
