I think that would be Lexington BBQ. Red slaw. Brick ovens in back with piles of wood. Had to hold Bob back from hitching the wood up to his truck.
But smiley's had a pig out front as well but I don't remember seeing the pits or wood. Smiley's was the place everyone honked when they pulled up. It also had the rabbit hole bathroom outside.
Glad yall enjoyed Fullers. Sorry I couldn't make it.
It was Smiley's, the one the had the small outside bathrooms. And "small" being an exaggeration about how big it was They had piles of wood around back and a cooker going. I found some pics from that one:
For one of the future monthly dinner events I'd suggest everyone try Hometown BBQ & seafood in Troy. Great food, great service(I'm not biased, even though my wife and daughter work there) and lotsa food for the $$$.
So with spring here (technically at least) it's time to start looking at stretching our legs a bit. I believe the plan is east, west, north and south to reach some of the out lying chapter members who are active across the state. Let's get some ideas and dates for the next few months on the board to see if we can get some large dinners together. Also if there are any events that we would like to make, such as one of Larry's Mud Races or Vintage John's car shows.

For what my input is worth, being I'm a VA Chapter guy, I'd love to come down and hang out again. Chomping at the bit for a good excuse to hit up Lexington again. Of course, Greensboro, Kernersville, Winston-Salem are all within range for me, too. Kernersville has a spot called Prissy Polly's I used to hit up regularly when I worked down that way.
June 16th is supposed to be a "big" race but t js very doubtful I'll be there Due to due date is June 15th.
July 14th is supposed to be another big race that we plan to be at.
Larry, Not gonna make the May 5th Race, and we probably won't plan on the June 16th one. But the July 14th one sounds do-able.

James II input is always welcome. I know we hit up Raeford in March. If we plan on heading East for July, that leaves us North and West to try out. Honestly, I've been craving some Lexington que for several months now. So that's my vote.
Tony think that'll work? I know it's not Warrior Creek, but it's a close second right?
I can do either the 28th or 29th. Assuming I leave here at 5, I should be able to get to Lexington by 6:30 that evening, if not a tad sooner.
BTW, it looks like the 26th is already ruled out...but I'm already planning to be in Randleman that day, which isn't far from Lexington at all. If something changes and the 26th becomes an option, I vote for that.
