Looks like the transmission gremlin is back. Got a leak fixed last week, and came back today to find about 2 quarts of ATF drained onto my driveway. Found it was leaking in the same spot as before, which I find quite puzzling. Finally went out and bought a new gasket, which will be installed tomorrow.
So as it turns out, the lenses I got were not the right type. They don't have the little reflector housing that goes around the bulb. Made the light pattern all messed up, and its not working the way it should
In other news, we fixed up the transmission leak. The pan had been hit multiple times with rocks, so it was bent out of shape. Which explains why the corner kept leaking. Flattened out the inside with a chunk of wood and a hammer, and got the edges cleaned up with a ball peen hammer. Switched from a cork gasket to a rubber gasket.
Also did exhaust work today. Took all the U bolts off, and the exhaust just pulled apart (No welds on the fittings at all). Removed the cat and muffler. Put the new muffler in, a 36 inch Heartthrob glass pack, using nothing but the old pipes. I'll get pictures of the setup tomorrow. But it sounds amazing

You should post a vid on you tube of the new exhaust sound!
Just a quick vid. I'll do a better one in the next couple days. 2-1, cat delete, 36" Heartthrob glass pack, turns to dump out 1 foot in front of the rear tire. 2 1/4 pipe, with muffler being 2 1/2. Only cost me $50 ($44 for muffler, $6 for 2 u bolts)

I'm new to this forum and just finished reading your post. First off you have a really nice truck. I wanted to let you know about HID Conversion Kits. They are not approved by NHTSA and are illegal for highway use. Most states and law enforcement agencies are just beginning to enforce this so it's not widely known. You might want to check your local LE and see what they say about HID Conversion Kits.

Thanks for the kind words
We checked with the locals about it before we bought them. They have no problem with it
Started work on the stereo conversion yesterday. Got a Pioneer cd/am/fm deck to go in there. Bluetooth ready. Ran the mic cable down the A pillar, still have to find a spot for it.
Cut the Thermostat control bracket and enlarged the opening on the faceplate to fit the new radio cage
Running new rear speaker wires when we do interior work later. So far, I only have rear speakers, 6.5" Pioneers.
