I worked Circuit City (Laguna Niguel) when the Playstation 2 first came out. And we had customers lining up from 4am until the store opened at 9am. Several hundred, and you know how many PS2's we had the very first day of its launch? Seven. Employees were not allowed to purchase them at that time. And of course, management informed us we were not allowed to tell the customers we only had seven. They wanted them coming in to buy other things.

Haven't given up on the other deal just yet...my sister is going by the Staples up the road from you this afternoon, as they're supposed to be getting their stock shipped today.
Didn't know they had become used car salesmen at Staples.
I gotta say, the salesman at the Staples on Atlantic Av in Long Beach did me right. My sister (bless her heart) called around today and found one at that store. The salesman she talked to set it aside for me to come by and pick up so I'm now viewing through a 23" LED backlit LCD. Now I can put off those new glasses for a little while longer.
