You might want to go across on the Lerdo Highway, back to I-5. That brings you back out to the 5 north of the construction.
Traffic's pretty light across there, even through Shaftner, and if you're going north a long way, I think it's faster to get back to the 5 than to stay on the 99.

Just so you know I had to work a little, pic of harvested tomatos before the seeds are extracted.
One pic of an old skool hotel I stayed at. Was state of the art at one time. Funny how long it took me to get the key in the right depth to work the lock.
(might have been the wine though...)
