There used to be a couple of the offset ones setting down in the SE part of NM (down in oil & gas country). There was one in a yard near Loco Hills, NM and another one near Hobbs, NM
you are not blocked in by the load. they all had a hatch in the roof for driver access when loaded. you can just barely see it in the pictures.
on a lot of them, the doors did not open at all. they were there, but useless.

I see it... should have seen it the first time. I feel better now.....Thanks!
most people did not realize the hatch was there until they saw the driver climb out of it.
first time i saw one i was thinking "how does he get out" unit i saw him pop the hatch and stand up. then it was like:
OK, here's one for you..... 55 Ford on an older Jeep frame. What is the grill/headlight assy? looks like it might be an early 80's Oldsmobile or something....sheesh

I think they just cut the center divider out of the nose on that grille assembly to make it fit. I'm pretty sure the nose is all 76 olds 98 regency.
That's the one I was thinking of, but didn't remember it was that old. Kept looking at later 70's and 80's models and it wasn't coming to me. I guess I'm getting old, too. Seems like just yesterday....
