Quick update. 19 emails in and 3 days later trying to figure out what's going on with my missing convex mirrors from LMC truck. Apparently "Glue-Convex Mirror Glass" is just for the mirror glue, and in order to get the convex mirrors you have to order "Convex Mirror Glass-Right Hand". Not really happy with their response to this situation. Maybe I'm an idiot, but they could easily avoid this confusion if they would describe what the items are on their website or at least rename it "glue FOR convex mirror glass"
I also assumed the bullets were included, I guess that's my fault for not studying the diagram. Now the only options they're offering is me eating the overpriced shipping both ways and probably a restocking fee to get a refund, or kick rocks. The last 3 emails they have repeated themselves saying "look at the invoice".
Just thought I'd share. Still going to update with what I end up going with and I won't whine anymore about LMC.
I share the concerns you have stated. I have asked 3 times myself about a giant box containing a very small part and the cost to ship. I asked for a return phone call from management 3 times, yes , 3 times..........nothing zero!!!!!! I have also found that the quality is poor with most of the big vendors. I now resort to buying from the smaller vendors, so that I can talk with a person who cares about customer service , and provides the parts I need and will actually fit. I order from the 2 big companies as a last resort. Lots of choices out there . Support the mom and pop shops. Good Luck with the mirrors.
I ordered some of those mirrors from LMC truck. Man I can't see anything out of them. The driver side is just as bad as the passenger side. Each eye sees a different image because the mirror is so close/small and not convex. The passenger side I can see either a portion of a the truck or a single spot on the road. I ordered the convex glue on mirrors from LMC..
I did see your post and was considering it. LMC truck does appear to sell a convex mirror like the one you pulled out of that one. I am trying a different route. I'll update once I'm done filing.

I purchased this amazon mirror to try and adapt to the reproduction mirror mounts. They already have a lug on them as you can see. I filed a flat on the lug and then twisted the lug in some sand paper to get the diameter right. It's only about .5mm too thick to fit in the hole. Also drilled a dimple for the set screw, which may not be necessary. Be careful if you do drill it. Cause you might break through to the threads.
There's a convex and flat version. The flat one would probably work great. The convex is maybe too convex, but I prefer that for California driving.

I made my mirror arms outta 5/8" stainless bar, heated the ends and bashed em flat. Made appropriate bends here and there, then drilled the ends and mounted them to my own brackets (in the original position).

I found 5" peep mirrors on the net, they're just some aftermarket jobbies.
I've found them a bit small, so I'm about to go get a couple of others, like the ones on that green truck in the posts.
They look like the 6" x 4" ones made by Britax. They can be had stainless or painted I believe.
I'm gunna make some new arms soon. Something with a little more curve rather than those sharp corners. I recon that'll look better with the trucks shape.
I made my own brackets outta s/s. Note they're bent horizontally. That way if the mirror/arm get bumped, the whole friggin lot don't get mangled.
Oh yeah, just a suggestion, don't make the same blue I did, by using an ordinary wire brush wheel to clean em up. What happens is, minute bits of steel get impregnated in the stainless, and then the whole shebang goes rusty. Ya live and learn.
Check out my albums, there's a couple more pics on there showing the mirrors.
Hope that gives ya some ideas.
Cheers, Ron.
I know this is a really old post, but from my days cleaning surgical instruments, I learned that if you use a brass, or steal brush to scrub the SS, it would start to rust, the fix was to clean up the instruments, and then soak them in lemon juice. For some reason this worked.
I only have 1 original, the other is OEM. I am keeping the ones I have just in case I want to switch back to the original look and feel. It’s easy to swap them out for show. I appreciate your interest in keeping it original.
Just replaced the Jr. West Coast mirrors that came with my my truck, with an NOS set, an exact duplicate, bought off eBay. These are Sears branded, but manufactured by Yankee products, who made mirrors for many brands of cars/trucks, as well as the aftermarket. Having let the only other set of these I’ve seen on the Bay slip away from me a couple years back, I wasn’t about to repeat it. It was important to me to get the exact duplicates since I didn’t want to Swiss-cheese more holes in my doors. They fit like a charm, and are shiny new.
I put stickers on them for the youngsters who’ve only ever known collapsible mirrors in their young lives, asking them not to fold or attempt to collapse these. In California, we have tiny parking spaces, and folks will often fold them in to exit/enter their vehicles in cramped quarters. Whenever we travel back east, I always enjoy the luxury of giant oversized parking spaces. These are “Junior” size, 5”x10”. I even got another set of NOS heads in case these get damaged
That is a beautiful ride. Thanks for sharing and also for sharing your good luck in finding exactly what you needed. My truck was also a west coast CS and assume that it originally had the same mirrors, but someone long since put the (likely Chinese made) little round original style slot mirrors on it, and while they are almost impossible to adjust on the passenger side to be useful, for my driving purposes, they do ok.
