Also tomorrow we are havin some teriyaki chicken, white rice, and some udon noodles for dinner so I'm definitely gonna get picks of that. Udon noodles are my new friends

I'll be posting some pics on Sunday. I just bought a bunch of baby squash, fresh white/yellow corn, cantaloupe, some herb basil pesto sauce, and some specialty sodas at the Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store for $12. Planning on pulling some yellowtail out of the freezer and smoking it. Going to cook some pasta(whatevers in the cabinet) to mix with the pesto. The corn will be done on the grill and haven't decided how I'm going to do my squash yet. Gonna cook enough for my lunches this week.

The Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store is across the street from the University. The students grow a lot of the stuff they sell in the store. All the veggies/fruits I bought today were grown right there on campus. The baby squash were $0.10 each and the corn was 4/$1!

If I had known that was there when I did the campus tour I would have gone to it before heading back home.

Had a asian themed dinner last night.

Chicken in our own home made teriyaki blend consisting of soy sauce, sesame oil, beer, orange marmalade, garlic, fresh ginger, and a few other ingredients.

Some Udon noodles we stir fried/wok'd with sesame oil, garlic, onions, celery, carrots...for the sauce we used a little rice vinegar, soy sauce, hoisin(?) sauce, oyster sauce, and some japanese soup base broth...then I personally put on some srircha sauce

And here are some homemade wontons

We were at the one on Sanjon last Monday evening. Hard place to find if you haven't been there before. Across the street from the Pierpont (at least their driveway is).

No, there just today for the fair. Wasn't there yesterday at all.

Last Monday to eat and get on home. Just passing through on our way back from Monterey.

As promised, tonights offerings were Smoked Yellowtail with a cajun/smokey chili seasoning, fresh baby summer squash from the Cal Poly Pomona(my alma mater) Farm Store with jalapeno bacon and red onions, and some angel hair pasta with a herb basil alfredo sauce.

And yes, the Yellowtail was caught by me.

A couple dishes I forgot to post from last weekend when I went home. The restraunt is at the Calexico airport, pretty much a hole in the wall and you'd probably never find it unless you knew someone that had been there. Homemade shrimp ceviche that was out of this world and Carne Asada nachos.
