Hot dog, with ketchup, mustard, and a mix of serrano, onion, tomatoes

Some southwestern salsa, with habaneros

Rib Plate from Flame Broiler

Need lots of sauces

You can kind of see the hot italian sausage under all the grilled peppers and onions, and sriracha

Pepper Jack <strike>Bacon</strike> Burgers for my birthday dinner. Except I cooked.

I slow cooked them, but two hungry women were angry so I rushed and the bacon was undercooked. It had to be removed. But the burgers were still delicious. The bacon and peperjack is stuffed into the patty, and normally it works out very well. Goes to show you cant rush perfection.

Had some great Chinese food last night using the hot pot in the middle of the table. The art of using chop sticks is slowly coming back to me.

Food from our hawaii trip....my parents were there a total of 9 days and then I met up with them and I was there 6 days. I did a lot of yelping on this trip...and will do even more on our road trip to Nebraska

First hour on the island, was starving after the 5 hour flight and didn't wanna get anything too big cuz we had reservations for that night. Hawaii gets kalua pork on their nacho bellgrandes

Now from dinner that night at Huggo's (pronounced Hug-go's)
Garlic bread

My caesar salad

moms salad

dads seafood chowder

My mom and I both got the penne pasta with shrimp

dad got prime rib.....pretty darn good and usually wouldn't expect to find this at a restaurant on the water in hawaii

Dessert....there take on banana's foster....I had a bite of the ice cream, not a fan of bananas

And the view from our table

just looked over the railing of the restaurant.... you're on the rocks

BBQ Riblet plate

Hamburger Plate

Bacon Baked Potato soup

and some of the very best coffee ice cream, I've ever had and made from the local Kona coffee beans

Two nights we had sushi

First night at a place called Shima-Ichi if I remember correctly...it was alright

we also had some rice, miso, and edemamme...my mom had a seaweed salad too.

The other sushi night....the restaurant was Sushi Rock located in Hawi, Hi. It's more of a sushi/japanese fusion and it was awesome...kinda expensive but I've never had any of this stuff anywhere else Sushi Rock

One of their salads...forgot the name

gazpacho my mom had

miso soba I had

First 2 rolls we got: top is Surf n' Turf...spicy shrimp inside shiitake mushroms other stuff, topped with seared tenderlion and onions on top......absolutely amazing. bottom was Capn' Crunch forgot exactly what it had but it also had seared tuna on the outside

Second 2 rolls: Bombay sunset, and Rising Sun

Pele's Revenge...they said it was super hot, but it wasn't...the top red sauce tasted like a mix of curry and Franks hot sauce

then some of their sinful, flourless cake, and ginger ice cream, this again was amazing

Another day we went to one of the local Kona coffee farms

and then had lunch at this place called "Da Poke Shack" i love poke and definitely wanted to try it out.....sooooo good

I had what they called Pele's Kiss, it wasn't too spicy and added some sriracha...very similar to like a spicy tuna roll flavor wise

My mom got the chicken plate

and my dad got a pork plate

and we shared some spicy tako poke, and their house Poke Shack Special poke which was super good and had like a sweet teriyaki marinade

Also stopped at the Mauna Loa Mac-nut headquarters

Our last dinner on the island at Ruth's Chris

Bread and butter

they even made my sprite look fancy

my caesar and parents steakhouse salads

16 oz Ribeye..slightly over cooked than the medium-rare I ordered, but still flavorful

our sides

dessert...bread pudding, chocolate lava cake

dessert drink....kona coffee, bailey's, kahlua....if it didn't have the coffee and you added vodka, it'd be a screaming orgasm (yes, it's a name of a drink )

and on our flight home, this is what we got in first class

Omaha might have good steaks but where I went, seemed they need to learn how to cook them. Don't think they know what medium-rare is, or chives on a baked potato
