Thought I would post up some pictures of some of my creations finally.

Tonight was T-bones, bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed jalapeno poppers, and grilled squash.

Burgers topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms with pan fried red potatoes.

Had a couple more pics but can't find 'em right now. If I find 'em I'll post 'em up.

A few things from this past week

Ahi Tuna Caesar Salad from Islamorada Fish Company (restaurant at the Bass Pro Shop in Rancho Cucamonga)

Steaks, Lobster, Grilled veges, sauteed mushrooms, baked potato from fathers day

Best "store-bought" corn tortilla chips

Tempura Udon....haha I let my dad try some and he really liked it. He kept hovering around me asking "U-don with that yet?" haha

This is a fish taco. If anyone is in search of a good taco shop where the food is good and like things with no-frills and a good price definitely try out Taco San Pedro. they got three locations and 2 of them are actually on the same street...one on Carson near the casino, then down the street in OC where it turns into Lincoln almost to Beach. The carne asada tacos/burritos, fish tacos, and lengua tacos/burritos are all good...and I personally prefer the green over red salsa, has more of a kick.

Finally tried out the macaroni place Elbow's in Cerritos and it was pretty good. This is the Lobster Mac, and a side caesar salad I had. I also took a bite of my dads tuna melt and that was really good too. I can't wait to go back and try the other flavors or even take advantage of their "make your own" dishes...and the servings are pretty big for the price.

Some shrimp ceviche I made. shrimp (cooked 24 hours in fresh lime juice), tomatoes, onions, cilantro, crushed garlic, olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, squeezed lime, 2 habaneros, 2 jalapeños, 2 serranos...and I still put on a cholula for another kick

My "famous" southwestern salsa

Here is tonight's creation. I had a pork roast in the fridge so I decided to crockpot it today. I threw in a couple red bell peppers, some mexican squash, red onion, red potatoes, a can of diced tomatoes, and the pork roast. Didn't add any seasonings. Occasionally I like to keep it simple with the food and just enjoy the flavor of the all the ingredients without all the fuss.

Ok...finally found another picture of one of my creations.

Not sure what to call it, but it was awesome! Two lil carne tacos and a bowl of stuff that turned into a soup. The soup had Mexican squash, red onion, red bell pepper, a lil jalapeno, cilantro, cream corn, and garnished with cheese, fresh cilantro, and red onion.

Just a side note....don't ask me for a recipe, I don't even really understand that word. I can usually tell ya the ingredients, but I usually just start grabbin stuff and make it work.

LOL...the squash soup and carne tacos were from a long time ago. The roast pork and veggies is American cuz its made from American pork and I created it. Besides, I had a pork sandwich from the local butcher today that came from a whole roasted pig with some American beer....plus I'm drinking some more American beer as we speak.

Something I heard yesterday on The Food Channel, and with which I completely agree:

"Cilantro. It adds the taste of soapy dishwater!"

My sentiments eggs-actly!

Guess I'll keep it goin since everyone else is slackin....

Breakfast skillet from the Home Sweet Home Cafe in Escondido this morning. Had some semi-spicy sausage, bell pepers, onions, cheese, taters, eggs, seasonings, and some grilled sourdough. Was pretty yummy....

Made my first trip to Eureka Burgers in Claremont tonight too. They have 30 beers on tap, all of which are small brewery/craft beers. Had a sampler first and then a glass of the Black Market Brewing Company Brown Ale. For dinner it was a Pearl Street Blues Burger. Medium patty with melted blue cheese, herb sauteed wild mushrooms, and grilled onions.

glad to see that you guys are keepin it goin whenI'm not around

that skillet looks good...I need to make a skillet breakfast some time. I used to go to Baker Square and get their chicken skillet and man it was the best when the egg yolk got on everything and putting their salsa on top was just the finishing touch....too bad all of them closed, the skillets and cinnamon rolls were soooo good
