We have the set of Honda eu200is also, mated together they did a great job serving up power to the 30 amp RV plug on our old toyhauler at the racetrack. We don't boondock with the new TT so they now stay tucked away and only get used during power outages keeping friends and neighbors fridges cold.

Surprisingly the microwave makes it work hard to....on my last camping trip i popped a bag of microwave popcorn and the yami ran hard for that 2.5 mins. I should probably get bigger generator, but 98% of the time it does fine.

Be careful with the AC and that genny, having the AC compressor laboring at startup like that can age it prematurely.

Yeah mine only get used a couple times a year when we're in the national forest either for the Sunrise 3D shootout or elk hunting. Other than that my trailer is pretty much a park queen because I use it for work. I did a propane conversation on both Hondas a couple of years ago so I wouldn't have to worry about gummed up carbs from leaving gas in them for too long. Has worked out great.

I just pulled my trailer out and put it next to the garage to plug it in. I'm running out of time fast so I think I'm going to stick with one new deep cycle battery combined with the new little generator that should keep me going just fine.

I would really like to figure out why I can't get the fridge to run on propane, does great plugged in but it won't light up on gas. I need to actually spend some time messing with that. Oh and I need to flush all the antifreeze out...ughhh

You can change the start capacitor on the AC unit which is supposed to help a lot on startups using a generator.

Careful with that fridge Russ. A lot of RV fridges have been recalled over the years for propane leaks. Sadly a lot of RV's have burned because of it too. You might want to check your fridge model number for recalls.

Course it could be something as simple as a wasp nest in the tubing.

I know it takes some time to purge the gas line to the fridge in my TT every year.

I have heard many times it is cheaper to replace the whole fridge unit if it is having problems than to buy parts and try to fix it. Unless it is some obvious cheap part that needs changing. But if the unit is older and you have to buy more than just one part to "chase a problem" thats when it is cheaper to get a whole unit I hear.

I do know mine was slow on cooling down last year when I switched to gas. From what I read some sort of "stuff" builds up on the insides of the freon tubes and blocks them from flowing. I feel this is whats happening with mine and one of these years will be the last for it. I wish there was a way to clean it out.

Before I traded up I thought I was going to have to replace my reefer and it was going to be $1100. It turns out I just didn't have the unit level.

Three weeks later I eliminated the problem and traded up to 2015 model.

Thanks guys for the tips.
I may upgrade to a larger generator oneday.
The rv place said while borderline it should be okay.
I turn everything else off if going to use the AC when i turn it on.
Then just use low draw items like lights while it runs.
Apparently it doesn't need as much power as a larger unit like a big trailer would have.
I also don't use it a lot. Usually just open the windows and latch the door open and let the breeze blow through the camper.
That is one benefit to having a small camper i guess.
And i can tow the boat now to since I got this little guy.
When i had my bigger tt I had to leave the boat home.

What i should do is find out the actual specifications actually. Not take what the salesman said as factual.
I may call Coleman and ask them since they make it.
Says its a low profile series 9...whatever that means ☺
I just know i can hear the little yamaha work when i turn it on.
But flip on lights or stuff anx I cannot even hear the engine tone change.

I'm thinking this and the fact I have a very hard time getting it level are two main factors to my problem.

This trailer is basically a throw away so I don't want to dump a bunch of money in it, but I know when I do go to sell it I'll still be making a profit in a couple years when I upgrade to a 25-28ft.

Having the RV level is VITAL for the fridge to run well.

Yeah, the sap's free advice for the day: Don't wear flip flops when you head to the dump station.
