Decided one season was enough with the Aussie Grill that came with our trailer. Bought a Weber Baby Q (1200) last week. A little cutting and welding on the grill bracket and voila !
Did need to convert the Weber to run on the trailer's low pressure system, but no big deal.
So I've started to tackle this. I'm probably 60 to 70% done. I decided to line the inside of the compartment with plywood, covered in indoor / outdoor carpet. This will allow me to attach things to the plywood.
It took 2 sheets. The ceiling i had to do in 3 pieces, because I was limited by the width of the door.
I stapled one edge of the carpet, then sprayed trim adhesive, folded the carpet over the plywood and stapled the other 3 edges.
^^ Note the cut out in the ceiling panel for the laundry chute which is next to the bed.
Bought some K Rail at Lowes. Its for garage organization. They make alot of great hooks, baskets, etc for the K Rail. Bought a soft basket to use as a laundry basket, directly under the laundry chute
Hung on the K Rail...
Now we toss the dirty laundry down the chute it drops right into the basket. with the mesh, we can just push it up when empty to store a couple folding chairs under it. huge space saver.
Also cut a piece of K rail and mounted it to the cieleing to make supports for my two 100 watt solar panels while traveling. These are just the long hooks for the K Rail that I re-bent.
About done at this point I think. Most stuff now has its place.
Oh yeah, I finally pulled our TT around to by the house to start checking/cleaning/loading it. If I have time one thing I would like to do before we shove off for the first time is install a water tank somewhere after the pump to smooth out the flow.

Nice stuff there on the mods!
I have a similar Q grill. Did you just remove the regulator and adapt the quick connect hose in it's place?
Tried the search function and tech folder but not finding what I want to know. With the upgraded mirrors from 1A Auto, what do they do that would be an upgrade from my OEM '01 mirrors? Turn signal and power fold? Looked on their website but not sure which ones are the ones.
I never had the old style tow mirrors, went from lil paddle to the 08 style. I can tell at a quick glance if the lane next to me is clear or not from the bottom convex mirrors.
Can't say if it's worth the price over the tow mirrors you have, but it's HUGE!
Leaving San Antonio Friday for our first trip in the Ex. Mix of tent and TT camping. 2 adults, 2 13yo girls. First stop tent camp in Carlsbad NM 1 night. Next stop tent camp Durango CO 1 night. 3rd stop Salt Lake City stay with family. Pick up rental 24 ft BH TT in SLC approx 5200lb on Monday and haul to Madison campground Yellowstone. Spending 9 days in park. Leave Yellowstone back to SLC for drop off on way to Payson Lakes campground Salem Utah (tent). Next stop tent camp North Rim Grand Canyon. Then to Albuquerque NM for overnight in hotel. Final stop tent camp in Carlsbad NM and do the whole cavern thing. Should be a heck of a good time and good first fun to get the ex ready for our style of travel. TT is somewhat similar to the 27ft Keystone Bullet we want to buy this fall as far as layout and weight. I will update with pics along the way as WiFi allows.
Thank you all for the wealth of knowledge and insight on this thread.
