Tiff said it was supposed to hit 80 degrees today before it rains. I'm glad I got the engine out of my truck. (the one I've been hauling around in the bed)
Hey Bob, are you going to be awake around 0830? If not I'll leave your grill in the back of Ka'Bluey.
Sounds like you had some fun, Rich. Glad it's going good now. If I ask for a ride, you'll have to take it easy. I want to be able to walk when we stop.
We all had a good day didn't we! Alan I'm up bby 6am everyday. Stayed up till 2am this morning, out of the sack by 6:15. I can't sleep late!
Alan I'm guessing but in the picture of that sweet yellow truck, I'd guess the single tank would be at the back of the bed, and at that age wasn't it just a gas cap and not a square door???
Got the radious arm bushing in Ka'Bluey in, oil and filter changed and drove em' around town a little bit. Was a great day. Supposed to be nice today I thought. But looking outside, I'm having my doubts.
Everybody have a safe one.
Unk Bob
Well duh.....the gas flap is in the front only. Normally a single tank the flap/filler port it behind the axle. Was that a custom touch or a factory oddity?
Also 79 bumper with 77 grill, and aftermarket spot light.....nice truck BTW.
It had a gas door, but you're right. It was supposed to be behind the axle. That's a picture of my first dent that went on the Hotrod Power Tour in '98. It's sitting on an '84 3/4 ton chassis. I cut the gas fill door out and moved it forward to where the tank sits in the '84 frame. This '77 Ford also has a split front differential as well. A parts store counter person's nightmare. I loved that old truck. I built it in 3 weeks, start to finish from three different trucks.
Howdy all, I got my 55 gallon drum of resin and all the other fiberglass stuff home yesterday. I painted the hood for the 70 'vert Saturday, valvetrain in the 65 is installed and my dent alternator in pieces. I got both riding mowers running yesterday and one weedeater, the other is getting taken to the lawn equipment place next door to see if a carb will help it. Hopefully tonight we get to build the cradle for the drum and get the fender and hood installed on the 70. Might even start running the valves on the 65.
1. Do not use the shortest tongue trailer you have.
2. Do not be trying to get anything else accomplished.
3. Yes you have to learn, if you want you own rig at SMORR.
4wheeling lessons:
1. Do not use a vehicle with a carb issue (learned she can not drive with both feet).
2. Do not send her thru what looks like a shallow spot in the creek, it wasn't.....
3. Have the hubs locked before you are stuck, we were in the back yard who needs 4x4?
4. She dropped the "F" bomb right after we sunk the front end....priceless
She was quick to tell ME to get out and lock the hubs, absolutely priceless. 4H and backed it out and drove it back to the shop. To swap carbs??
now i want to bring my out to play....anyone want to help me install the clutch whiskey left me? wens and thurs are best for me cause the woman is off and i won't need to drive anywhere for anything.

i was just looking at the smorr site again..still not understanding in the rules if a 13yr old kid can drive his truck there..thought i saw where you have to have a drivers license...do any of ya'll know about that??
