I guess I'm building a 4.3 at some point in the near future?

I'm ready for it now. I got all my pieces for the Toyota at work. I got the engine built and in the car today. I even got most of the stuff hooked back up. Since I wasn't the one that took it apart, finding all the pieces and where they go is like a scavenger hunt. I should be able to hear it run on Monday. Man, I hope this thing is gonna be ok.

hey rich..your a good guy alright, always nice to have someone you can depend on to help when someone needs it.. i am going to try to get to springfield here soon..i plan to drop a engine stand off for brian to use so he dont have to roll the engine around on the ground to fix it..

Thanks. That'll be a help. I got all three of mine busy right now and the guys at the shop bought an extra and it's also being occupied. I'm up to my eyeballs in rebuilds. With the Toyota getting wrapped up, I still have the old Saturn to put a crank in, we just got another Saturn that needs a crank, a Durango that needs an upper end rebuild, An Exploder that may need an engine, and two other cars I haven't even looked at yet. Ugh, it's gonna be a busy week. If I can keep parts coming in, it should be a good paycheck too!

I should be here. I'm gonna try and make a junk yard run in the morning. I hear tell there's a '67 Impala fender to be had in one of the local yards. I'm gonna see if I can snap it up before someone else does. I gotta get the wife's car done so I can start working on my Chevelle!

Well after the chebby rescue run, I got the Bronco fuel tank back in with some new vent hose. Put in 5 gallons in it and finished up some eng compartment issues and fired it up and took if for a drive around the property.

Runs alot better with the fuel pick up filter and fresh gas in it, have to adj the throttle linkage so I can get the 4 bbl to kick in. But over all it ran great, took Penny and our dog for a spin around the property too.

Still have a laundry list of little things to work on, one day at a time.

uuuuuuuuuuugh my luck is freaking amazing....Any of you close to me good with wireing? I freaking hate it (well not really but its tedious) Rich pointed out that my blinkers were being weird and I had a tail light out. Apparently a fuse popped and keeps popping i blew one out twice so far tonight and my blinkers keep going with it. Put in new bulbs in EVERY light checked the harness sections i could get to put in new fuses and it still continues to happen. I know i do have a issue with my headlight switch because i had to fiddle with it to get all my gauge lights to work think that would have anything to do with it?

..wow brian..troubles follow you around huh..i could bring ya a switch when i come if you need it..what do you mean by the turn signals act weird..which fuse is popping..i would like to bring enough tools and parts when i come up to help ya out..you know that dash lights and tail light are on the same circuit.. if you were closer you could pick this 76 i am scrapping apart..maybe then we could get you dependable.. i could even bring ya this spare clutch i have, before the old ford stops pulling altogether....save ya a few bucks to put into the chevy ..let me know i may be heading that way today

TURN SIGNALS!

Ooooooooooo I hate that word "BLINKERS".
Now that is off my chest Brian, you have about the worst luck of anybody I've been around in a long time, I remember why I moved from my family now.
Whiskey let us know when your headded up this way, we can get to Brian's and maybe collectivly, get this boy back on the road again. Rich, it's been said alot lately... But you and Penny are just good people.... Luck for me the world needs... Well, people like me too!
Alan it was nice to meet you this week, we all need to see if we can't get a little get together inline soon, hopefully before Rich has to take off again.
Maybe today I'll get off me lower end and get something done to Ka'Bluey. Need to get those radious arm bushings in first, plugs and wires are in, need to get oil and filter changed, allready lubed.... Ooops that was me that was lubed!
Brian let us know when you have some idea of when people are showing up with tools/parts, and I'll get over there too.
Y'all have a good one.
Unk Bob

Alan I wish I had even the ambishion that you have in energy. Since the back went out, I somewhat went south. Hallor if you want a hand one day doing your wood work. Just another pair of hands, won't cost you anything. I enjoy it, and don't mind helping a guy out.

Thanks guys i appreciate it. I'm thinking with it popping fuses the way it is its gotta be a wire i can't find probably hitting the frame rails and shorting out. Although it seems that i only have a issue with the signals when i need to turn on my headlights so its probably in that harness somewhere its just tracking it down thats gonna be a #$%@* lol

Might be a bad headlight sw? A shorted wire can be a PITA to locate, hang in there.

Kudos to the crew heading over to help.
