no progress because i've been tied up with household projects and working on the dd. just a thought though, i remember my buddy made a "flatbed" by cutting off the skins and excess metal on his stock bed on his old ranger, any body have any pics of something similar done to a fullsize? he took bed style side tool boxes and mounted them as the "bedsides". looked pretty simple and cool. might try it out befor i junk the bed. if i like it, it will stay.
so....... has anyone painted fresh new rims? what kind of prep am i looking at? i like white wagon wheels on 70's trucks, but i think i want mine to be a different color, maybe purple, who knows..... i think my buddy has a half assed sand blaster setup, but i'm not 100% sure on that.
Just scuff the paint, cleam the surface with some prep wipes then paint it whatever color you want. Just make sure you paint them and let them cure in a warm area if you want it to stick
