yeah, the companys with overhead charge about double for what all i do. so there is room to make a living and the best part be my own boss and work when i want.
i'm allready booked up the rest of this week and half of next week with word spreading fast that i'm back in the game. so i'm feeling pretty good about it. caddys, lincolns, lexus's lol

There's a valid reason for this in the USA. They will have the overhead of providing insurance for any damage they do
to a customers car while it is in their hands. This is without a doubt one of their highest costs in running a business.
I of course still don't how insurance works in Canada. Who pays if you wreck and demolish a customers vehicle?
here in the STATE of Alaska, which is in the USA. it falls on the insurance company of which the the car/truck is under and its owner. this is made very clear to any/all of my customers.
yeah. since it stays under the freezing mark most of the time in the winter, you can keep a car/truck clean for a good bit. most of my clients are family friends. i also work with a company that has a fleet of high end suvs that they like to have done once a month. so theres plenty of demand. it just makes it alittle harder for me since i have to take them down to the was it yourself carwash then bring it to my garage.
buisness licenses run $100 for a year, and you get them through the state not the muni.
man that aint bad maybe i should start a buisness.
My bad! I don't know why I was thinking Canada. Sorry about that.

OK.
We had an interesting case locally. A mechanic totaled an almost new Mustang GT after he made warranty repairs to it and was test driving it. The dealership tried to claim it falls back on the owner's insurance too. The court disagreed and made the dealership replace the car. The court also made the dealership pay the customer's attorney fees in total. If one of my vehicles goes in the shop for repairs and gets totaled, I would fight the person or company responsible for it too.
In case it isn't apparent yet, I hate insurance companies. I hate the things they do. I hate the things they get by with. I hate how they keep attorneys employed and charge us higher rates to pay for these attorneys. And most of all, I hate how they deny coverage and you have to fight with them.
yeah and these are all close friends of the family that do very well and i've known since i was a baby. they would all let me deal with it on my own. now the company i'm dealing with would also deal with. this is one reason i dont deal with people i dont know. i did that before when i was doing this and it was a pain in the butt. so i'm done with that!
now all that said, i take EXTREME caution when driving a customers car/truck. i learned that long ago. if you think anyone worrys now, i was doing this back when i was 16! before that i had to have the cars/trucks delivered to me since i couldnt get them.
finished my first day of "work" made double a days pay in 4 hours. not bad i say and i can do what i want when i want. life feels much better i must say.
by now you all should know i HATE insurance companys also, but we're going to stay away from that topic haha
since we're getting alittle off topic, alittle mod i did that was free for me was add a extra brake light into the taillights. so now there flipped and have 4 brake/turnsingals.
the drive in from wasilla last night at midnight, on the flats it was -11.
too finish off the offtopic convo lol heres the '06 caddy DTS i did today.
u should switch them lights to LED in your taillights, your probably gonna melt the housings, i did that to a ford i had and it melted the housing on the inside and made it real ugly.
no it wont melt anything. excursions have a open light spot thats not used. i did this on my '04 excursion also. i'm keeping it this way untill i can afford full LED taillights. the LED bulbs i was never very happy with the output!
i kinda like those caddys, they have a '02 with 23k miles that i may buy from them. same body style. i'm not a GM guy but i kinda like these cars. they are at the age now they dont need 2 cars so the matching caddys arent needed.

so the led bulbs are poor output? i was thinking of converting my trailer to LED the ones i seen on trailer look pretty dang brite.
