i will say the smoked lenses really killed the light output. i finally installed the smoked fog lights to match and put in 5000k hid in fogs and i can see again! thats the other thing i wanted to ask you alaskan ex. i am afraid to blind other drivers if i put hids in my upper headlights. of course im lifted too. have you had any highbeams flashed at you? i know the fix is projectors but i dont like them. right now i just have "5000k" $15 ebay bulbs in the uppers upper.
nope, i have a 55w 8000K HID kit in the headlights with them aimed correctly!!!! this is key!!! i have not had one highbeam yet. i have amazing output but have spent hours getting them right where i wanted them.
the bug deflector and ford molded splash gaurds i had painted to match the tan lower color when my truck was repaired from a wreck on 12/28/10. the deflector was a regular black LUND brand one...just painted.
i ordered the grill without seeing it on anyones truck..then i can across pics of yours..then i knew i made the right choice. your truck looks great!
man! thats the crappy part about CL..you can miss out because your not fast enough.
yeah, whenever i'm selling somthing if somebody makes a call/promise i wait till that falls through before selling it to somebody else. but thats me.
well i'm saving the excursion from the nasty road spray that comes along with 40F temps today. but then she got alittle snow on her tonight. once the weather stays under the freezing mark i'll driver her again so she stays clean
I agree....every time I have been to Alaska during the winter, it didn't seem as cold as here in MN. We have been to Fairbanks and the temps got down into the -30Fs and it didn't seem as cold to me, maybe its drier there or something?

Yeah there are areas of interior Alaska that are technically arctic deserts. When I lived in Fairbanks it was surprising how much water you needed to drink, especially in winter. The atmosphere is so cold and isolated from free flowing water that the humidity is near zero. Makes the 30/40/50 below surprisingly bearable long as your skin is covered.
