I'll admit that I thought about putting the "Explorer" on the back of my truck just for looks. Yeah, I'm a phony.
Since my truck is a spray can deluxe, I could just cut out a cardboard stencil, hold it up there, and hit it with a can of white. But, I'd much rather put yellow hazard strips on the back of my bumper.
Came across these on a different memory card. The date on all the pics are wrong.
This would have been my first bullnose truck, but the seller didnt really want to sell it to me because I was looking for a daily driver at the time and he kept saying it would be a great truck to restore. He wanted $1500. It had original paint, 300-6/auto and was a '83 with factory 8 track player radio. A week or so later I bought my silver '86. I just saw it on CL about a month ago for $1600 from a different seller. Looked pretty much the same.
Saw these two at the Woodward Dream Cruise last year.
This one looks to be a '82
This one was for sale down the road from my house. Overpriced IMO. The wheelwells and cab corners were replaced with homemade patches. Had a 300-6/auto.
For me though, a truck has to be 4x4. I will NOT have a 2 wheel drive truck.
I used to not care. But, after swapping my F150 to 4x4, I find myself less interested in 4x2 trucks. My Ranger is 4x2, but it has 4x4 suspension, so it narrowly passes.
I don't live in a state where 4x4 is a necessity. However, there's just something about a 4x4 truck.
I believe it is just an 80 and they put 80s don't know why. I think that is more of a 351 being a F250. I don't know for sure never really saw it before just saw it on craigslist.
