With the tach installed into the cluster and the truck running, get a multimeter and test for 12V at the B terminal, 5-6V at the I terminal, and continuity to ground at the G and 8 terminals. If it all checks out then I'd suspect the tach itself.

When I installed my tach I wasn't getting 12V to the B terminal through the circuit film for some reason, so the tach wouldn't come on. I ran a wire from the B terminal to switched 12V, and it's worked perfectly ever since. I think it's something to do with the circuit film in my case.

thanksgiving day i ate "Dinner" at noon, at 1:30 i was tearing the carb apart. Rebuilt the carb, found the carb spacer wasn't flat. Now it runs great and i get to enjoy the new motor/trans. Now just waiting on my kick down stuff to show up so i can install that.

I finally got my truck semi put back together. I'm so close to having the other I-beam in. Here's her three legged dog look. I'm in rush mode trying to get her ready to roll, so I can trailer her over to my building. Got to get the other I-beam up under her and then the rest of the fun starts! Still waiting on parts to finish, but she's soooo close now!

Got my Clifford intake today for my I6, also got a pair of headers as well. I'm not too keen on the headers, but I'm pumped to get the intake for my build. Headers are in fair shape, but I just hope I don't have any seal/leak issues.

Gonna run me some duals out the back, exit in front of the passenger rear tire. Next week starts my build!

Today I ran a wire from my addon, key-switched fusebox to my lighter socket so it'd only be on with the key. From the factory it's always on. Now I can leave my iPod car charger plugged in without running down my battery.

Later on this week I'm going to look into wiring it up so that the dim setting on my lighted rearview mirror comes on when I open the door.

Changed out a bad oil pressure sender, and backed that up with a new mechanical gauge. Tomorrow I'll be ordering two new rear spring packs for the beast!

I realized my tach is intermittent ($*!t), I may buy a new tach when I hit up the jy this weekend. Ran out of gas on my way home from work today . I am really looking forward to a weekend again.

Can you give some details about how you set this up, or perhaps give it a thread of its own? I'd definitely be interested in doing the same, for the same reason.

My truck is finally back on all four tires. I still have to get the pumpkin and axle stubs back in, but I've been waiting for the right side axle seal to come in. I'm also waiting on my shocks and drop pitman to arrive. After that she's off to get aligned. Not sure if I'm going to need caster/camber adjustment sleeves or not, guess we'll see.
